Fletcher was also in love with Hillary Bauer but she was in love with Jim Reardon.

She's the one who met Fletcher in San Rios during the Dreaming Death storyline. When Hillary and Jim's relationship picked up steam, Fletcher and Claire became an item. Fletcher was also married to a woman named Maeve Stoddard, but briefly. She died in a helicopter crash soon after their marriage in 1988. Her son, Ben, was adopted by Fletcher.
