  • So at any point no actual programming at all... :D

  • Hey man, I really appreciate these videos you're doing. I'm a software engineer, and found that you cut through all the technical stuff and got to the point-compiling and running an app. Keep up the good wor

  • WILL SOMEBODY FUCKING TELL ME HOW I CAN MAKE AN APP GAME

  • @ImAWannaBe2711 Just for the start, you could view all the videos from thenewboston org android turials, there is 200 of them.

  • Hey get Youwave Android to emulate your apps EASY what you are creating, Just a tip

  • @lilwarthog troll much, because he knows more than you?

  • When you press "back" it exits the application. In which, it deletes the all unsaved information resetting the application back to default. When you press the "home" button, it suspends the application. Therefore, you can continue where you left off just in case you didn't save.

  • Poo

  • Yeah, so, how would you manage the sensors? You can not build an app like lego. Its hardwork. Coding is the hard part, the 90% of work.

  • private static final yourAge = 11;

    for(int age=0;age<=13;age++){

    System.out.println("Your not a coder then dont teach how to make an app... app = coding go learn to code");

    }

  • @lilwarthog lol gayest comment ever TROLL!

  • @BouncyWolf102 mad bro?

  • @lilwarthog You're*

  • @tecilla08 I think the androiud market takes 20%, so you would get 80 cents for each one dollar app you sell :)

  • my question is.... after i learn how to do a cool app and i start selling it on the market, how much does the market will charge me if im selling it for a dollar ?

  • Could you please say button and not bu-ään. thank you

  • @Alfredo1987a

    You're sick Man!!

    If you really like good spelling then Go and pay in a classrom. only this way you can complaint

  • WTF??

    The fun part is to code!

  • use tinydb to save strings on exit

  • Thank you very much for this tutorial! This helped me a lot with what I want to do in the future!

  • but how can i link the bottome with text or something like that ?

  • thumbs up man!!!! that was lightenin fast!!!...... dont know why people go so slow...in half of there videos they talk about nothing but shit.... great share bro.... keep posting

  • the reason why it is erasing everything is because your're not using a db

  • do this program work on windows vista

  • "it's a lot more fun if you don't code" -- no shit, but its not fun when your app doesnt do anything...

  • @alco19357

    I agree fully, i assume you know how to code in xml?

  • @alco19357 dude if you listen to what he is saying, he says its fun if you don't code, till you get used to it.

    since it will be stress full for beginners who doesn't know coding, to try and jump directly into it, rather then starting with just learning how to add buttons and such like he is showing. and then once they got a hang of that, they can look at the coding.

    @astonishing12 super video dude, the more people we get into making apps. the cooler apps we will have in the future :p

  • Can u make video. Where u make a home launcher replacement like the app spb shell 3d but better if u can

  • I haven't started coding for Android, but coding is fun... It's fun when you create it and it works perfectly. I want to jump right into this... Do you actually think someone would download an application that does nothing but lets you click different UI elements? That is a no... Try coding more fun things. Think of it as a goal.

    ~Kyle

  • this is so out of my league :/ and yet this lil kid is so fluent with it. How in the world do you know all this? just playing around with the program??

  • Ryan Is Cool!

  • Ohhh !! Ver. thai audio pleasssssssss

  • not making fun of you, but you kinda sound like Gumball- "The amazing world of gumball"

  • you would be suprised dood. coding can be verry fun and has many more options that little tools. if you know what your doing.

  • not bad for someone of your age. i had my thumbs up all the way until the end when you said it WASNT better to code. i disagree. you are so limited in what you can do by simply using the properties tab and just playing around in eclipse. try picking up the java programming language and see where that takes you. it's a much better use of your time (and you will be rewarded in terms of the coolness of your apps) and its an incredible skill to have. other than that, well done.

  • Like the way he says Button. Lol Butt In

  • @kayrosh30 lol how else would i say it , "buttahn? buttun? buttown?"

  • @astonishing12

    i pronounce it buttun

  • @astonishing12 Ummm... maybe button? don't be so defensive other than that great tut man ;)

  • @kayrosh30 thought it was she

  • lol nice 4 u r age! lol i am the same age as u and i wish i knew that much! lol!

    PS: u have an android and an iphone? WTF? lol!

  • you are making a tutorial but you skip the ones that are complex. well your handy people go on these vids to find how to do the complex stuff.

    thank you very much for heloing us out will your "great" tut

  • what does that app do ? :D

  • is sdk or google app inventro better ? i mean googles app inventro seems kinda for beginnners and so on

  • its not such good practice to hard code the width/height of the widgets, if you want it to extend to the end of the screen go under the "Layout width" and select fill_parent(or wrap_content if u want it to be as long as the text inside it). you should also look into the padding option. just my two cents :P

  • You need to save that text you type so it wouldn't be deleted, as you are just typing like for input and indeed you did a very good job for this video you almost went through from week 2-5 Uni level tutorial!

    Believe me not many out there know this much.

    Cheers and once again THUMB UP

  • Not bad for being 12, sir. Kudos.

  • Thanks for the tutorial but wtf is the point with the app you created?

  • how could i add twitter and youtube widgets linking to my accounts on my app ?

  • Oh really, maybe I shall try it then

  • Awesome, but I don't have an android :/

  • @MrPCFree u can run it in google's emulator

  • @MrPCFree You don't need an android! There is an emulator that works so you can test out your apps on your PC/Mac without uploading them to the Android Market.
