  • Yo! It's about time someone posted this major dance hit. Brooklyn born Grandmaster Flowers turned out Super Star Cafeteria with this jam on those 18' Cerwin Vega folded horn cabinets. The bass and drums onthis cut were off the chain. He kept the drum beat going for a long time before the chorus kicked in. A major hit song for us Brooklynites if you went to "The BadAss" "The Superfly" and "Wyonna St parties. Ya had to be there during this funky era son.

  • Thank you rockinbruce!!! In '72 a friend and I moved to Tampa, Florida. There was a club on W. Kenedy Blvd. called Rene's. Everyone would run to the dance floor when this song played. I had almost forgotten how it even sounded as I haven't heard it since then. Truely glory days for me!

  • @dbearup123 can we get Nova Scotia Home Blues put up in here in youtube, even a 45 rpm playin is fine with me...thanks ELK

  • I'm with you multi I remember this song starting with lots of strobe lights then the big mirrored ball starting to turn with the chants and heavy base line. Oh for the maygay, august club and wonderful manitee dance clubs and wonderful people here in Toronto, oh what nights we had!!

  • One of the greatest, wonderful songs ever recorded. Nothing can match walking into a dark club in the early 70s and hearing the opening drum beats and chants of this underground classic!! Thank you for posting this dancer in its full 1971 LP glory version. Happy Mardi Gras !! ***DAVE♫♫♫♫DJ***
