@meddlock - You have to buy the adapter plate, get a 20Valve ECU, and do map conversion I believe, or I think you can just do stand alone engine management. Don't know shit about either so I don't try to do this mod just yet. I'm thinking of just doing the 20 Valve swap with Water and Dizzy relocation kits, make it easy and comes with ITBs. Just not a whole lot of aftermarket support over here for 20Valves as far as I know...they do come with forged internals stock however...

dude its seriously hard to find that kit. I've been looking for so long, so my last resort it to order it from Japan...its just that the shipping is Crazy..You could prolly find a 4age 20v at the junk yard and take the intake...but good luck finding the adapter for the conversion.

Yeah a conversion is needed, unless you buy a JDM Bigport 4AGE out of a AE86. However if you look around you will find one in RWD format. The water system needs re-rigging and the manifold has to modified... as it faces the wrong way when the engine is turned to RWD. you will pick one up in RWD with loom and ECU for about $715.00 US Dollars. Hope this helps.

Great little engine...ez to work on. I had 85 corrola gts w/4AGE. I bought it w/engine blown for a project, front main knock and con-rod 4 knock. Line bore on crank saddles, (same effect as shaving head). Previous owner had ported/polished the head. That rebuild got me a "thrashing the car" 180K km's and 6 years, when one day my hood flew up smashing out my windshield and denting the roofline preventing a new windscreen so I junked the car.

The 4AGE was also the most ez starting in all my cars

ae86 r awesome. if they weren't so damn rare I'd get one over a VW for the RWD. Then again, they have annoying Jap exhaust note. that doesn't matter much when u go drift crazy. great car man you're lucky. :)
