I can easily see the Japanese appreciating MBV's dreamlike, sexy & space age sound. I also thought MBV's sound went so well with the city scape scenes of Tokyo in the film, 'Lost in Translation'.

I've always hated that term 'shoegazing' which was coined by the media. I've never used it and have never thought it was relevant to the bands the British press attached it to such as RIDE and MBV. Both these bands made music that is so exciting, so uplifting and that takes you on a journey to another dimension.
