Hi thanks for the video very good! theres a ton of negative info online about alfalfa sprouts and sprouting in general...people soking their seeds in bleach and then boling the sprouts. The CDC is againt sprouts because of e-coli outbreaks..How true is this info? Can we trust growing sprouts as safe? how can we ensure safety?
Bad boy and organics just don't go together...I mean, it's like Heavy Metal and Grandma's cookies or Kittens and chainsaws... just saying. Oh, cool video!
I love it! I asked my dad to make me some redneck sprout screens about two weeks ago and he did the same thing, used the screen from a broken door! lol
Hi, thanks for the video! I just bought the A.Vogel biosnacky glass and going to try it out too. Any new tips or tricks? Have you made any new videos maybe with other kinds of seeds?
its been a year since you did the video, so you probably have learned or tried to water the seeds, with a nutrient rich solution by now..and not poured the solution down the drain, by reused it..just an fyi..
do you keep them in the fridge after harvesting and what do you keep them in? I eat them on sandwiches & in wraps but I'd need mine to keep for about a week. I haven't done my own yet, been buying them from the store.
@greenpilgrim50 I actually keep them in the fridge in a plastic baggy and they last for around 5 days on avg. depending on the amount of moisture on them.
Hope this helps and thanks for watching and commenting.
Thanks for the video. What is your advise/thoughts on sun light. Is passive sun light ok though out the whole process ? Is there any benefit in keeping them in the dark before they start to green on day 4 or 5? Thanks again
thank you so much for doing this video! I can't wait to try it. I have been sprouting lentils and mung beans. I actually made hummas from these sprouts with home made Tahini- I feel the life force as I eat them and delicious too!
