  • Love it how most of their show is played live!

They're just awesome! Long live the Human League!

  • i watched yesterday's show in Stuttgart. Great sound, great show, the concert could have lasted > 90 min.... too short. :=)

  • Brilliant and their from my town....

  • Great close ups of Susan ;-) and Phil, very nice clip of a great song.

  • Probably one of the coolest songs of the 80's!

  • The blonde yes.

  • they should have used the Linn drum sounds that were integral to their sound. It sounds like they used wack sounding 909 drums—with a snare drum roll no less...ugh. Good to seem them still doing shows.

  • @soundscapenyc I agree...The keyboards sound good but like you said when the drums kick in, it doesn't sound right.

  • Damn. No offense. The song even sounds good from this crappy recorder. Most likely a cell phone, but it's all good!

  • They're fabulous considering in what shitty times they're playing this awesome music!

  • i remember being there in coventry with my girl friend

  • He is awesome the whole band is awesome!!

  • He is as talented a singer as he was then (ie no very) but a great show and the birds -MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLFFFFFFFFFFFFFSSSSSSSSSSS!

  • MILF

  • I saw the Human Laegue in Wolverhamton doing the Steel Tour in December 2008.

ABC and Heaven 17 were there too.

The Human League were the best.

  • Aces/10!!!

  • milfs.

  • I love Joanne!

  • thats just what my girl says to me

  • Phil esta estupendo y canta igual que cuando les vi actuar en los 80.

  • Wow his voice is still amazing... not a beat different.

  • do not fuck with the boldes or the boldes will fuck with you

  • I think he looks pretty sexy...bold and all.

  • I cant believe the Human League played fer free an nobody told me? If Led Zeppelin do the same gimme a bell please? Or Pwei. Or ASF. Or Fudgetunnel. Or The Beatles. Or The Polyphonic Spree. Or (well you get the picture).

  • I live the bassy beat to this live version, class.

  • I attended this. They were easily the best performers all weekend.

  • Human League = la British classe !

A quand un concert en France ? Même avec le poids des années ils restent des plus attachants.

Si quelqu'un sait quelque chose à propos de leur venue dans l'hexagone cette année 2008, merci de le noter. Paka !

  • lol nice

  • Susanne Sully still looking fit!

  • great stuff

I wonder what today's bands think when they see vintage like this...so cool.. so refreashing..just the best

  • giguchan - I'm joking, but the tickets were quite expensive and from all accounts the concert was just terrible. A lot of the audience left before it ended. Had the Police been performing before Julius Caesar they surely would have been fed to the lions long before they got to ROXANNE!

  • It was a free festival and if you'd bothered to attend you would know that.

  • SuperEliteTim - I am speaking of the Police concert that took place in Toronto in May '07. It was definitely NOT free and by all accounts a bore. My comment was posted out of place.

I LOVE the Human League and agree with others that they can still hold their own 20 years later. (Unlike, say, the Police :)

  • Can't agree more with you. Hated Sting's Police (not Andy or Stu though); gotta love HL after all these years.

  • Pitumisio - Thanks. I like being right :) They look and sound terrific, and the music holds up. They are heavily featured on every "Lost 80's Lunch" radio program in T.O. [Just how we refer to Toronto]

  • You're not right or wrong babe, it's just that great minds think alike -take it ;)

  • Perhaps the wisest thing HL did (probably unintentionally though) -- that The Police and U2 didn't do -- was write songs in their 20s that didn't press their vocal ranges to their limits. That way, as the band aged and their ranges narrowed, they could still sing all of their songs effectively without straining.

Both Sting and Bono have been pushing their voices since the start, and now that their ranges have deteriorated, their old songs make that deteriation painfully obvious.

  • bleu - you inscrutable person - that's it exactly! Too bad CS&N didn't take that advice.

(Note: does not apply to Mr. Young :)

  • The sound's a little tinny, but the band looks great. Unlike some bands that are still touring (CS&N, Sting & his friends) Human League would be worth the money!

  • your right, they actually sound like the band they were in the 80's

  • Joe - glad you agree. I don't know where The Police got the nerve to regroup and charge $. They played Toronto about 6 months ago and people are still talking about a class-action lawsuit to recoup their ticket costs.

  • cheers phil see you in glasgow on the 9th /12

  • el mejor tema electric dreams

  • Phil is great & Susan is still really cute

  • fantastic 100/100

  • the blonde Susan Sulley - its true she does still look 25 - the mighty league rule
