See! even todays shoes would have been called "cheaters" but they are safer and smarter and we all use them! this is why i think gaynor mindens(sp?) are still great shoes! so many people dis them as being "cheater shoes" because they offer more support and don't break in or wear out, but really, if you're a strong dancer and the shoe is fitted right it doesn't "do the work for you" it just supports your foot better! I think all art forms should grow with technology :) embrace it :)
