These are great photos. I have sympathy with the travellers and spent years on the road myself. But why all the self pity ? Life is tough. The life that they voluntarily choose to lead brings them into direct confrontation with the forces of mainstream society, but the travellers constantly complain people dont leave them alone - and then they sign on, occupy land they have no right to and create a nuisance. Im all for freedom but not you having the freedom to be a pain in the arse.

Good vidio - If I ever get the nerve I would join you travelling - Police freek me out too much - dont want my partner battered when she is pregnant! Dont want to work hard for my home only to have it smashed up and set on fire with me in it. If I ever can afford some land to buy I would have travelling mates stay on it. May have to live on it myself if rents get too high. Even then risk eviction, bitterness and violance from nabours (planning laws). Why cant people just relax a bit?

iv been there done that,seen the good&bad of it-i was most happy,free,fresh,pure&had alot of craic!We used the land &wot it has to offer(wots left of it!)Not abused it like 'the others'(to put it nicely!)Sure u get bad'ns but its alot worse in the coucil estates!there's a rotten apple or2 everywhere so the slaggin is racist,most travellers i know are strong,proud&respectfull.miss alot of people iv travelled or parked up with;(cant wait to be on the'road again,but it'll be a bigger road no doubt!

fair enough if your a true gypsy ,its some of the new age travellers that have been the problem. quite a while ago near here,they set up camp on a common,erected huge speakers and proceded to have a rave,dealing drugs to local youths and 2 fingers up to everyone else,local pubs were shut ,took a couple dozen paddy wagons to shift them and a court order, they went 15 miles down the road and caused havock, 2 or 3 lads were killed when they were chased out of the camp ,when their car crashed
