  • nice music; great dancer

  • B-Boy

  • LEGEND!

  • Simply a legend - to be in the game this long and still be dominating, is a major thing. People need to look in to the rock steady crew history and see how long Ken swift has been going for, then they will have even more respect for him. Peace!

  • I need to know the name of the last song? Thanks guys/gals

  • kenny is god of break dance

  • y'all heads who dont know shit about hip hop should stfu ken laid the foundation down

  • mad foundation yo ken swift

is a true bboy he truely knows

    the ledge dawg.

    watch this!!!!!!!

    youtube.com/watch?v=_5NHDrdfcLk&feature=recentf

  • Ken's Rockin is just HUMMMAN NUTTTZ!!

  • What's the last two song s? If anyone knows.

  • don't fuck with ken swift. See that last set. That would still rattle anyone even today in any battle.

  • Prince!

  • @DarkRaven008912 Co-Sign

  • ken swift would still smoke so many younger bboys today in a real raw cypher. He is bboying....period

  • Just simply nasty...can't be duplicated...not Chris Brown, Usher. Bobby Brown....not even Michael. Simply the best!

  • You ain't a BBoy if you don't know this guy and/or his crew.... nuff said....

  • What was the jam that starts at about 2:15-30??

  • Fuck, it's like he's not dancing to the bongos, more like they're dancing to him! Sickk

  • What the song at 2:15

  • He problably wants to puke everytime he goes to a Jam and they play the same song over and over again. Of course... when he was 15 and listened to the radio this was what they had to dance to... 20 years later he is stuck with the same songs. They same music is following the poor guy whereever he goes. It must be like a nightmare. Imagine all the times the poor guy had to dance to the song from beatstreet just because he was in it for 5 minutes.

  • @Halvvampyr ... and how do u know that? why anyone but you thinks its the opposite way? ignorant.

  • No need for insults...

You really don't think hes been listening to this songs for 30 years?

I have only been b-boying for 14 years (96) and IM sick of this music.

B-boying its all about being original and creative but its still stuck in the 80s.

Of course... we shouldn't forget about the roots and where everything started... But I wanna shoot the dj whenever he thinks hes being real for playing James Brown.

No matter how good a song is, everybody would get tired of it after 30 years.

  • word I see your point now, I dont think he wants to puke thou LOL even thou he IS been around for a while... I've been B-boying for almost a year now, maybe not enough to get sick of these anthems (except for beggin' which does make sick, only cause B boys here LOVE IT maybe a lil too much) but ye there's definitly lots of hot new funky to break to... pz.

  • I don't say that its bad music... Sometimes its great to dance to something thats familiar. Specially on competitions.

I just found it funny that every clip you find with Ken Swift its the same music.

He must have heard "Breakers revenge" for a million times :P

Otherwise... Later on "battle of the year" or in battles like "Red bulls BC One" the music has become a lot better.

  • wooord...I think it's prolly cause they noticed the same thing u did about music...

    bREAKDANCIN' uGGGH!!!! jejejeje.

    pz yo!

  • does anyone know the song that starts @ 1:43?

  • The Champ by Breakestra!

  • why do people still segregate the aspects of the dance that make the dance. throwing out terms like "powerheads" "styleheads." If you dont have both with your own flava, you aint a bboy. power back in the days were different. just cause he aint doin flares or windmills doesnt mean he didnt do what is considered "power" back in the days. respect the dance and culture for what it is...lets not segregate ourselves here.

  • @jonw391 So true.....I've been doin' this for almost 20yrs...and I agree with you 100 percent!!!!

  • and to all power heads out there. the prince of bboying. is a style head...

  • TRUE DAT

    but power is still cool

  • yeah respect to power.

  • who the hell -1 us

  • theres no such thing as powerhead or stylehead in bboying..

  • Can someone tell me what song starts at 5:21?

  • Ken swift is the Prince of B-boying... mad respect.

  • that sleeping dive at the end was dope

  • EL PAPA DEL BREAKIN

  • like better then all the power moves only dudes

  • is Ken still RSC?? just wondering

  • the most influential break moves from Rocksteady Crew is ken swift. Style, text, everything - true legend.

  • LAZT SET DOPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ken SwIFt Ur A Mad Legend =]]

    REspect =]]

  • how can people hate this??

I don't get it... like don't you know what breaking is?

are you seeing this and witnessing your world fall apart?

do you know who this man is?

  • It's the Swift Wizard In Footwork Techniques

  • @frostflow

Only thing I see here is guy who uprockin' and footworkin' to some light funky music.

He shows no powermoves? And this is a legend of breakin' ????

  • @KrzysioFisiol STFU! PUSSY

  • @frostflow Hi ,, i just came through this video and some other videos for this bboy and i read some words like ( LEGEND ) and i don't really know what's so special about this guy ? ok he's good but not to be called a LEGEND !! i see him dancing like so many other bboys now adays !! i really don't know what's so special about him and would appreciate it if you or anyone else would make it clear for me.... thanks :)

  • @Zihab2000 & KrzysioFisiol

Well, I'm going to be polite...

BECAUSE OF GUYS LIKE KEN SWIFT, BREAKIN' ACTUALLY STILL EXISTS TODAY, One of the biggest reasons real B-Boys today actually look the way they do is cause of Ken Swift. If you look on the side of this youtube channel you can see many videos about him and his history. Watching him break is like watching Bruce Lee fight. The man is in his 40's and very dope...after research, if you still don't get it? - you never will...

  • @frostflow Yes man I agree .. I saw all his other videos and especially the OLD videos .. and read more about him .. He's awesome ! .. :)

  • @frostflow

    watch?v=vJr7WN8N7Y0

this guy is also 40 :)

Can Ken do mills like that ? No... U know why ? Because he don't even try. He would call Nieznanski "a gymnast". That's why I don't like Ken Swift , Crazy Legs and all those bronx bullshit. OK that's history, those are roots of bboying. So what if now they're talking that footwork is more "fresh" and "original" than powermoves :D. They're just jealous because they never reached German or Korean level in NY.

  • @KrzysioFisiol First of all, you need to learn some respects for the founding fathers of Bboying and for the culture. You say they're jealous, because you can't see beyond what's in front of you, they have nothing to be jealous of. They started a form of dance that has evolved into what it is now. What have you done for the Bboying community? I bet you're a E-boy or someone who wishes they could break, in addition, the roots of bboying is now the FOUNDATION of all bboying.

  • @KrzysioFisiol

Hey man, I understand yo, You must be wondering why people look at this guy Kenny so amazing when he doesn't set up to your standards of how you see breakin, I know man, like when I was a kid and I first saw Kenny in bboy summit 3 i didn't understand why he was so good...! and if you look at Freeze and Storm, Float and even Buddha from CFM they can do some crazy stuff and they're older. You must feel very confused right?

  • @KrzysioFisiol

.....Ok.... understand this then. Ken Swift and what he does is a Blue print of History and he still breaks....this is very special for our generation because when he can't dance anymore, a lot of history and technique will be gone. We're very lucky we can still see the foundations live. Look at breaking like a traditional language... when the original language is gone and there is only "Slang" then the language and roots change the meaning and essence right? understand this

  • @frostflow

Kenny, Crazy Legs, Wiggles - maybe they was in a group of first breakdancers. But it doesn't mean they're allowed to changing or destroying it. Breakdancing is not their fuckin own property to change its name, rules, music. Everything was fine. Suddenly after 20 years from RSC boom they coming out and tell everybody: "hey you acrobats, stop doing your flares and headspins because now you must do sixstep and cc's to be proper real bboys!". So I'm telling them now "FUCK YOU!"

  • @KrzysioFisiol

Bro, Those guys aren't the first generation, they're more like the 2nd or maybe even 3rd. They learnt the dance to preserve it and they evolved it too. it's because of them we even break, that's the truth right? "breakdancing" that's the media calling it that, I'm surprised you say that name because you obviously are passionate, then respect history. I believe that you have misunderstood what these pioneers are saying.

if you speak with Wigs, or Kenny, they're very cool guys.

  • @frostflow

I started to breakdance and will always breakdance. That term was used by 20 years and nobody never complained about this. That history-foundation-bboying madness sarted about 2001-2004. In 90's it was more simple - I'm not a powerhead or stylehead - I'm a bboy, so that means I'm dancing breakdance. That's my school.

  • @KrzysioFisiol

but anyway, remember when Battle squad came to NYC in the 90's with there Powermoves and style combined, they earned respect, look at Kwikstep too. I think your hate is limiting you, I've watched your video, you're a great powermover, with that skill u can express & DANCE more.. this is a dance right? you show a lot of dedication.. however, i think it's a mistake to put words in peoples mouth and to miss the point of what Kenny does is your problem.. too bad for you

  • @frostflow

I'm not a great b-boy, this video you have watched is one of my favorites I think. Bboy Psycho or Bboy Ice

Yep Battle Squad and Flying Steps are the best 90's european crews. They earned respect in NY? And how do you think what was behind the respect? Jealousy! They wanted to reach european level but they stopped in early 80's , so they thinked... and found a way! Just tell the rest of the world that all those powermove stuff is untrue and we're on the top again!

  • @KrzysioFisiol YOU NEED TO SHUT THE FUCK UP NOW!

  • @KrzysioFisiol bro who told you that u cant flare and headspin? Seriously bro, have OG's on youtube/any kinds of media said that doing powers is wack? seriously bro, I have heard so many bboys saying the similar things as you did. The truth is you are wrong. Its all about usage. Ask yourself why you do flares. Is it because its cool or because flares can add "something" to your sets/creations. c'mon man, El nino, Teknyc, Crumb, Dyzee, they all have won the Spy Awards from RSC.

  • Amazing style as always!!!!!

  • prince

  • 42 and still hiting it hard much love!!

  • This is the guy who 'invented' bboying.. Show some respect! Damn eBoys.

  • Um..He not actually "invented" bboyin'.

Hes a pioneer such like Crazy Legs, Frosty Freeze (R.I.P) back in the days.

And to the dude that said hes wack. Get Some respect. Hes 42 and still kill the beat.

  • There is a reason why I had 'Invented' in qoutes. I didn't have time to explain all the details to the douchebag, so I took the easy road.

I know Kool Herc and the Nigga Twins was some of the first guys as well to represent hip hop.

  • Ohh okai...well you coulda said Pioneer hahah. :)

  • ken swift didn't "invent" bboying not evan close but gotta give respect to one of the god fathers

  • Comment removed

  • the word Break dance is A TERM THAT THE MEDIA CREATED BACK IN THE EARLY 80'S THAT IS HATED BY BBOYS EVERY WHERE. ALSO A WORD USED BY BBOYS TO DESCRIBE A COMMERCIAL WANNA BE BBOY, OR A BREAKER WITH NO FOUNDATION THAT ONLY DOES GYMNASTIC MOVES .

  • last set and last song are dope!

  • anybody know the last song?

  • "Shangrila" by La Pregunta

  • ЛУТШИЙ

  • 노장은 살아있다.

  • style defeats technique homies, ..this is an art not to be rated on physical ability, ..but of course you need to be educated on B.Boying. Your education of breakdancing cannot be applied to Ken, ...he obviously still shares his art and loves what he does, ....keep it positive homeboy, .....show respect to the architects, ....you got some nerve .....criticize new dancers meathead.

  • Not always, look what happened to Kid David VS Lil Ceng at Redbull BC One 2008 =.=

  • Gold, what you may think is obvious to you mr bboy scientist , is not obvious to others, ..the comments you said are just straight derogatory, ...the dude started in 1978 , ...what needs to be pointed out is that he still can get down, ..and his "dancing" in general, something that you cant conceive, is still dope regardless of speed or execution, ..this brother is definetely in the song and rippin it, ...(more)

  • 43 years old, .....real good, ...exceptional, ...Ntzex, ...who are you to criticize, ...stop hatin on ken, ...that boy laid the bricks down , show some respect, ...id like to see you break at 43 you clown.

  • what's the song at 2:20?

  • all of us b boys have good and bad days! sometimes you kill it! sometimes you dont! But Ken killed it no matter what!

  • Can you name the first son?

    thanks

  • James Brown-Give it up or Turn it loose(jungle Remix)

i can send it to you if u want

  • Definitely see the age hitting ... or the floor sucks.

  • you don't need to say things like that.

  • Why not?

  • you don't get it. nevermind.

  • educate me...

  • its easy to say something negative even if its a little bit.

  • No its just as easy to say its dope. I'm a big fan of Swift, but this was a little rusty.

  • I beg to differ. He does more now in terms with music and rocking than he's done in the past. He doesn't flip around as much as he used to...but you can't expect michael jordan to jump from freethrow line anymore either. His game's changed not rusty...its just changed. You act as if he doesn't dance and do workshops every week.

  • I'm not acting as anything. I was saying you can see he is getting older. I can say that about the Rolling Stones that their game isn't the same anymore and that the age has caught up with them. That is just a sad fact, but a fact nevertheless. I grew up with Swift so its sad to see him get older and moves slower.

  • there's a certain etiquette that you keep when you talk about people you respect. Its like calling someone fat around them. Everyone knows he's older. There's no need to state the obvious. Instead...isn't much more beautiful seeing even at his ripe age that he's still killin' the music? You choose what you see...the glass is half full for me.

  • My comment was intended to be disrespectful, but more of sadness that what once was is no more. And it is MY intention that matters, not your interpretation of what I may mean.

  • whenever you say anything allowed...its given to the world to interpret.

  • Well, it isn't up for interpretation if you ask what is meant by it. Unless you are Sean Hannity.

  • I didn't ask. I assumed. Because your statement was short and blunt and unexplained. Its left for interpretation because you leave room for interpretation. What we say and do make ripples. You have to deal with the effects of your actions.

  • again I disagree, words are actions. Because they derive right after thoughts. If there was nothin left up for interpretation then how come I interpreted it? Therefore you did give it room for interpretation. Pointing the obvious does equate to negative connotation depending on how you say it.

AND KENNY...does more now in terms of dancing and rocking then before. He just does smaller things.

And for someone his age...you gotta respect that.

  • You can disagree all you want, but YOU REdefining a word doesn't mean anything. An action is not the same as a word, in law, in writing, or anything else. Second, I never SAID anything. Your read a comment I wrote and you misinterpreted through your own negative view, or how you wanted it to be interpreted. Besides I see you are young kid, so that account for a lot of what you are writing.

  • Its funny that you resort to me being a young kid. You wrote it in a way that was made to believe negative. I asked other people what they thought about your comment...and they thought the same. We've strayed away from the whole point of the argument...which is you wrote a negative statement that you won't retract.

  • Just because you are losing your argument doesn't mean you need to bring in your "friends" opinions. I spoke to 4000 of my friends and they agreed with me. Its meaningless. and yes there is something to age. You wouldn't waste your time arguing with a two-year old would you?

  • You talk to me about being young and then I use my friends as support. You made the first move by straying from the actual argument. I've already made my point. You can't be much older than me if you have the time to sit and argue with me.

  • gold, nice to see u getting owned in another argument.

there's a point i disagree with and one i agree with.

i agree with the fact that he's gotten older.

i disagree with the fact that it shows in his dancing.

with xpreshun's comment about michael jordan, it's similar to that. but not entirely. it doesnt show that kenny cant do his old moves, he's just doing other ones.

is it sad? he's fucking ripping it at 42 and traveling overseas spreading knowledge. is that sad?

  • is it sad that so many bboys ask him for advice and he's known as the first generation bboy that can still kill it at 42? he's still better than alot of bboys. his tops and footwork have definitely improved and kill the beat entirely, in a way that he's never done b4.

  • dont purposely look for negative shit u faggot.

  • STFU!!

  • You shut the fuck up, why the hell you gotta bag on a legend, you dumbass? Jesus Christ, what the hell is up with the ignorant dumbasses on youtube nowadays?

  • STFU!!!

  • Can you seriously not come up with anything better to say? o.o

  • Yes I can... STFU!!

  • muito bom otima edição ... ... ... peace

co4 crew and spin force crew

    brazil

  • That was definetly Ken Swift man. That man is hitting every beat, with original footworks, and he is doing his own original moves such as kaboom, back hand glide/spin, air moves, air baby, etc. You must met some fake Ken Swift. ahah

  • lol yeah it was Kenny. There's no doubt about it. Keep in mind that he's probably 42 years old right now. Taking that into consideration, he's pretty darn good.

  • clearly you don't know what fresh is...i hate noob comments

  • Y no veas como sigue el ritmo de la musica el tio jeje

  • mu buen video.

    Un sAlUdO
