It's really sad when a band's most popular song is a cover song (some people know them just by this song and even think it's theirs). And very annoyingly, when they play it live, they go on and on so it takes up a lot of time. Slash's solo is terrible here. He just plays random notes that are all out of key and the whole thing sounds horrible. Maybe he thinks he's being original, but not being able to play doesn't count as original.
