  • some of the youtube videos won't come up in searches on my blue ray.. it's very frustrating. any thing i can do to fix that?

  • idk about you guys but personally id like to save my ps3 for only gaming. I had one give me the ylod after almost 4 years of playing and am not looking forward to replacing another one so I just bought a blue ray player for $150.

It does youtube, pandora, netflix, and blockbuster. Also Idk if the ps3 does upscaling of dvds, but my blueray player definitely does.

  • No bluetooth?

  • lol its a ps3 without the games side of the ps3. i bet you cant theme the main menu like you can on the ps3 or sign into PSN or buy stuff on the PS Store on it lol.

  • ps3 has bdlive and it plays games

  • i am so pis*ed! We just got a blu ray player and we have an internet cable where we keep it, but our blu ray player doesn't have the internet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gah!

  • can blu ray dvd players play back up copies too.

  • is there a code that you can put in using your remote to make it play all blueray films? mine doesnt play some film but my ps3 plays them with no problem ?

  • I have a question does the PS3 have BD-live?

  • yes ps3 supports bd-live!!!!!

  • Yes, since Firmware v. 2.20 the PS3 supports BD Disc Profile 2.0, also known as BD-Live.

  • Nope.

  • yes m8

  • its sofware is like a ps3 or psp

  • does it have wifi

  • Do you have to do the firmware updates?

  • I just bought the same blu-ray player!

  • I have the sony bd350....and it`s much better and smaller then the bd300......this one is much quicker.

And the options with this player is just wonderful...de bd300, was a heavy, big unusefull thing.

And for the people who are having questions about regions...europe is region 2, america is ( i think ) region 1...and china, 3...i guess.

    So, not region free.

  • blu ray looks more realtime

  • I would still go for the PS3, it's the best value player on the whole

  • i have a question...if ur HD tv has the HDMI is that all i need for the blu-ray player to work?

  • HDMI is all you need to get the best possible picture on a HD TV. It will still work If you don't have HDMI, but the picture won't be as good.

  • DVI has the same picture quality but doesn't support audio.

  • i seen all the sony blu ray players on website but cant see different they all have same features but prices are different can you give me idea what the difference is

  • Is this player region free for DVD and Blu Ray?

  • While that would be nice...no it isnt.

  • At the moment I dont have wireless, however I have roadrunner internet....How do I update sonys firmware? Also, anyone who has this, does there's load slow, and make loading noises? I bought the extra warranty, should I take it back?

    Thanks evereyone!

  • just buy ps3

  • yeah, for twice the price. duh.

  • panasonic right not..the ps3 like a lot of people say is a better br player and it is as long as you have a good tv beats all of them sony will only give updates for this play to the cost of the player but will give all updates to the ps3..

  • Excellent standalone player.

  • I have this very player and it's perfect!

  • I got they very player for christmas and it's perfect!

  • Ihave this player it cool Blu Ray all the way

  • Hopefully sony have sorted the problems with it's predecessor the bdp-300 which gives many problems, and is basically a dud.

  • get ps3... ps3 is a cheap solution for a blu ray player....

  • however ps3's are ugly and the blu ray player in it is as much use as a chocolate tea pot :)

  • I have 1 as well :)

  • I bought mine for Christmas, its amazing, and i got 2 free blu rays just for registering at sony website :)

  • Can you possibly link me so I can do the same?

  • I have the BDP-S350 and the BDP-S550 and both are phenomanal players!

  • Excellent review

  • still cant beat the ps3's blu ray.

  • yes you can, it's called the Panasonic dmp-bd35 - it's better PQ and AQ than PS3, one of the only ones though, I might ad

I have a ps3 and have done the comparison... I know first hand.

  • I have experienced this player for almost a month now. It is remarkable how great it sounds and the visuals are stunning. I have a BOSE surround sound system too.

  • this guy look kinda like george lucas lol

  • Pfft.. Please.. The Panasonic BMP - BD35 stomps all over this weak effort from Sony.. For one, the Panasonic can decode all DTS soundtracks, so when your sitting there watching Wanted or Man On Fire, you're actually going to be able to hear the soundtrack without a $3000 HDMI compatible Surround Sound System..

  • Pfft Please... The Panasonic BMP - BD35 stomps all over this... The Panasonic can actually decode all DTS audio, so when your watching Wanted or Man On Fire.. You're not sitting there watching a movie with no sound.....

  • Betamax???

  • One of the best BD players

  • my girl bought me this for christmas ;) <3

  • yea this baby is sweet thx

  • Does a 2gb usb work with this player?

  • i think it would work but 2 gb is not much space.

  • can you plug ipods into it?

  • Thanks for the upload.
