Also @Surelog you say "select your world." Which one is my world? I haven't any worlds named World 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5...how do I tell Cartographer which world is mine? This tutorial doesn't seem to explain that step in the process, it's just click click click done. What did you click Mr Surelog and why? Help us out.

i know this is really cheap but when you use cartograph there is also an option to only find a specific block put in number 56 and it will only show you diamonds then you can merge it with the other maps it's very useful if you have a world that your not trying to play legit and just have fun

@PrawnSticks mine works now, basically the program makes a picture, the thing shown in the video is the editing of those pictures using an art program. Basically the program creates a picture in the folder that you downloaded cartograph on. It dosesnt matter if it says 'done' or what not. mine just creates a picture without telling me

@Preistbob4 had this problem just delete the whole cartographer file and stuff, then try re-downloading it to your desktop. If i move my files from the desktop, it does that exact thing, so i just made a folder on my desktop and keep it all in there :)

all good but the dimond lava coment, dimonds arnt close to lava, there in the sem level of them, but always close, most of my dimond that i have found where far from lava, and by the way, most of the dimonds i found hare at the EXACT same level, im talking to you laser accurate, dimonds hare naturaly 25 blocks far away from there selvs(be where that they can go up to 50) so lets say you find a dimond, you shuld dig aroud it to find the nerest dimond(it works, trust me)

Cartographer should save the pictures in the same folder cartographer is in. If you're getting an error saying you need a certain .dill file, you need to install the C++ files that are located on that same forum post on the link I put up.

@brodie9909 in Cartograph you can set what blocks to render (Diamonds, Mob spawners, etc... so set it to Mob spawners and render it :) and then do the same what he's saying in the vid

If I remember correctly, Cartographer has a "find" function for the codes used for each map. If you look up the codes for "mossy cobblestone" on minepedia and search for it, you should find it.
