@RakyMaky I wouldn't worry about it. It has survived this long since you uploaded it back in 2009. Please keep it on here. Thanks for uploading it. One of my favorite songs of his.
@RakyMaky There has to be a solution. Dylan's work is out there and I don't think he's deleting them. Know what I mean?. If you go private, let me know. Maybe I can help collect these early live recordings with you. "Buckets of Rain" is a good example of a lesser known cut that's well worth collecting.
i grew up listening to bob dylan and this song always reminds me of the summers i spent on the east coast, dancing and screaming in the summer thunderstorms.
Never particularly liked Dylan on its Own,but with some context Bob Dylan tracks are genius! BBC's Documentary Billion Dollar Hippy brought me to this song!
bbc steve jobs documentary brought me here too! been listening to bobby dylan for 40 years. thank god for the music makers. r.i.p. steve jobs. poolallie
Wow... This song makes me so nostalgic of summer 09. I spent all day everyday sittin around listening to anything and everything Bob Dylan. I'd fallen in love with a girl that was going away to college that fall, and there was a beautiful, undescribable sweetness in the air that summer that I'd never felt before or since... "I like your smile and your fingertips, I like the way that you move your hips--I like the cool way, ya look at me. Everything about you is bringin me misery" ...Beautiful
Blood on the Tracks is extraterrestric. I can only listen to it once in a while, because the sheer perfection of the songs & lyrics, and the emotions they convey physically exhaust me. while it plays, you just sit there, mouth & mind wide open, eyes staring in the distance, and when "Buckets of Rain" ends you're just stunned, and wondering what just happened to you. Or at least that's what I feel like.
this was the song my cousin and her husband danced to for their first dance at their wedding. it was so sweet. i fell in love with this song that day (:
what's typical about this Dylan song is that everyone appreciates his poetry, but his music is overlooked. Most oh his songs would still qualify as hits if they even had no lyrics .
People who think that Dylan cannot sing should try to sing this song. They would probably sound terrible. Indeed, this song is very difficult to sing, and Dylan sings it amazingly.
Bob lives his life and writes the truth of his life...some people say his voice gets on their nerves.. I love it... he is REAL...drugs are done.. think about Keith Richards... LOL
I became a Dylan fan about the time of "Freewheelin'. My parents couldn't STAND him. Mom said his singing was atonal, and Dad said Dylan sounded like he'd been hit with a whiny stick.
a lot of people say that Dylan can't sing, these are usually the people that don't actually listen to him. I think what they mean is that they don't like the sound of his voice, that's understandable, it's probably an acquired taste, but of course he can sing.
I'd much rather listen to a a guitarist with lots of soul who makes a few mistakes than a perfect soulless guitarist .
I do think Dylan IS the greatest songwriter of all time
Has to be my favourite song of all time.......lets hope sony don't pull anymore of Bobs stuff off youtube people need to listen to good music and enjoy it !!!
Jesus is the only hope of salvation from the guilt of sin. He is God come in the flesh. And he came to wash away our sins with his blood that he shed on the cross. Salvation is a free gift, but you must repent and ask Jesus to save you from your sins and come into your heart. God is good. It is written, "The just shall live by his faith."
oldnick65... glad you found a great source of Dylan music. And now here he is again. Do listen to Big Brother and the Holding Company with Janis Joplin. There was music everywhere.
This is as close to a perfect song as it gets. About Sony pulling down his songs...Well what did you expect. It's Dylan. He doesn't give a c...Neil Young is nowhere to be found as well.
Love to have this on YT. Just be careful of Sony BMG: they're on a witch-hunt when it comes to this stuff. I had my account shut down over three Blood On The Tracks tunes (three strikes and you're out with YT).
@oldnick65 The funny thing about sony bmg pulling all of dylan's stuff is that I (and probably countless others) got into dylan by youtubing the shit out of him. And then I went out and bought 7 of his overpriced cds at Borders, and later, bought tickets and saw him live. Youtube was free advertising, and now you can't find him on here, anywhere.
@ocd44 so true man. I got into him pre-youtube but there used to be some awesome alternative takes of songs like Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window? on youtube. I'd spend hours listening.
@ocd44 It is reminiscent of when the owners of professional sports teams balked at allowing them to be shown on TV.. fearing that it would decrease the money they made at the gate.... and look how that turned out? showing the games on TV made those worthless pricks rich beyond their wildest dreams.
