No no and no. I have played nunu a lot and this is what i like to build. Get items in this order, dorans ring,dorans ring,dorans ring, sorcerer's boots, Morello's Evil Tome, RoA, Rabadon's Deathcap(you will have to sell one dorans ring), Zhonya's Hourglass(This items active works soooo well with your ult and btw sell another dorans) if you have money and the game goes on for that long you sell the last dorans ring and get void staff or Haunting Guise or a Abyssal Scepter. Any questions just ask

Don't buy boots of swiftness. All other boots are better really, why run 10 mvement faster when you can get better protection + less stun time or armor + dodge or magic pen (for casters ofc)

@ulffi2011 I don't think so. You only skill that can apply the Rylai's unique is by Ice Blast, which already applies a better slow. You can gain health and AP from other cheaper and/or better items (Rod of Ages first, Mask second).

in my opion this build sucks( no offence) nunu is a ap tank so the only logical thing to do is get items like the hourglass that give ap and defence. first i get rod of ages. one thing u need to no about nunu is his def is better then his magic rez so u get magic rez boots then its a abisal septor, hourglass, rylies and final rabadon's use defence and offence masteries 9,21 in you runes u need cooldown per lvl blue and hp per lvl for the rest this will give u allmost 4k

seriously this guy is making a guide and all he has is fail footage. It's kinda hard to take advice from someone who is hardly an authority on the subject. I mean harassing a mundo with GA (like if you even get his ga buff off he is just gonna ult and rip your face off), then dying to their carry (who is the last person you want to have gold), and well for flash fail its a fail flash. For an effective nunu you actually are reliant on aoe disables, amumu's ult galio's ult to really dominate.

Terrible video. AP Nunu is just a bad idea. Nunu's role is suppose to be a tank, and though AP Nunu is tempting with his ratios, he is more useful as a tank. The whole point to Nunu is slowing down a running enemy, and jumping into teamfights and ulting everyone. The core items are half good, and the reasons for not getting a GA are terrible. Because Nunu needs to be in the middle of a fight to ult, it is highly likely he will be focused down. After reviving, he can continue to be annoying.

@tagptroll1 Absolutely. The idea of the boots of swiftness is to make sure you can always catch up to them to get the snowball off. If they're stun heavy you will have a hard time catching them (and a hard time staying alive) so the merc treads would actually be superior in that situation.

So what's the skill distribution for this? Normally for AP Nunu's it's alternating Ice Blast and Consume, then Absolute Zero when it's available, and then Blood Boil once IB and Consume are maxed. How would you suggest doing it?

@Zinayzen Well that partly depends on personal preference. For example, I often play with my brother who typically plays physical dps carries. So I alternate consume and Ice Blast until Absolute Zero at level 6, at which points I should have 3 Consume 2 IB and 1 AZ, then I alternate IB/BB so I can buff my carry, provided I'm not still in lane and getting harassed real hard. Ideally you need to be able to assess how the match is going and react accordingly.

@cockblocker88 Sure, if the other team has waaaay too many CCs (or CCs on really low cooldown like Jax), or you're just not good at timing it so that you actually avoid their CCs (ie. waiting until they're all on cooldown, etc.). I mean, if you're playing against a smart team anyway they'll pop your bubble before you even start the Absolute Zero anyway. One Ashe frost arrow is all it takes, for example. Also, subscribing to someone you consider a "n00b" is brilliant.
