If i google the scientific name (Amphilophus hogaboomorum) , i don't find any page with name "barred midas" on it, and vice versa. Can you prove that name? I know that these guys are very closley related with the "normal" midas cichlid (Amphilophus Citrinellus), so i think you might be right!
@n03lzz "Barred Midas" is the common name for the Barred colormorph of Amphilophus citrinellus. Barred and Colored are just stating the colormorph of Amphilophus Citrinellus.
My problem is always to find the most common english names. My sources on that are wikipedia, fishbase or google. The same applies to all of my videos, so if there are english fishkeepers that know more common names... let me know. Maybe seel1990 might be right with "barred midas".

Actually he can't exactly prove it. Look up barred midas on here youtube. You will come up with some nice delicate bruisers.
