World Champhons? The only real and acknowledged World Tango championship is Held every year in Argentina. These guys NEVER won there, in ANY of the categories. Why do they declare themselves "world Champions"?

Lived in the UK and watched these two and admire their dancing. Now back in Canada and watched the American version of Strictly and yesterday watched the Pussy Cat Doll Nicole Scherzinger & the professional Derek Hough do their version of the Argentine Tango. Must see it if you love this style of dance.

and you would know how much about the Argentine Tango?? Vincent and Flavia are world champions at the argentine tango, they have won the world championships for this dance twice. If anyone knows what an Argentine Tango looks like, its Vincent and Flavia.

I have been dancing Argentine Tango for more than 4 years now and I regularly DJ at tango events. I recently checked the list of past world champions of the Campeonato Mundial de tango in Buenos Aires and their names are not there. Surf the internet and see for yourself. I am not saying that they are not good at what they are doing or that they are not champions of whatever they are dancing, just that this is a different type of tango, not Argentine tango.

I've trained in ballroom, and had separate tango/argentine tango lessons for about 7 and a half years. i now hold free weekly 1 hour tango classes at my family's own dance studio. I dont compete with tango, just with ballroom/latin.

In the ballroom approach to Argentine tango (not Ballroom tango!) the focus is on the steps, in Argentine tango the focus is on the connection and the walk is very different. They might look similar in the sequences but the basic technique is very different: Argentine tango is a social dance.Search on Youtube for Javier Rodriguez and Geraldine Rojas. If you are as experienced as you claim to be, you'll see the difference for yourself. Enjoy!

Elevando Flores, hardly anyone knows who he is, cos he just does tuition, my argentine/ballroom tango lessons were in London with him.

In fact I don't know him. I am taking lessons in Edinburgh with Ricardo Oria (he was on the BBC tango indent a few years back and you can find a few videos of him dancing with Jenny Frances on Youtube as well).

This is similar to tango argentino but it's not the same, and I absolutely agree with you about Javier and Geraldine. IMHO they were one of the best argentine tango dancers in the world, and although I really like and respect Vincent and Flavia I wouldn't call this performance tango argentino. For youtube users who want to see true argentine tango dancers look up Javier and Geraldine

@FavMan100 They were the first world argentine tango show champion when the competition started in 2005.So they were champions in 2005 and 2006.Know what you are talking about before making those kind of comments.
