  • You did a great job!

How many drops of alcohol per pan? How many seconds did you hold the dime on it?

  • great way to save my might be next broken pallete to recover :-)

  • You are a genius. I've needed this!

  • @TashaTooFaceXo lol ty

  • omg thank you so much!! I have an 80 palette and my brother knocked it out of my hands and they all broke, and now I can fix them!!! <3

  • @Qbanmami but I do have slight problem....mine are square shaped....What do I do???

  • @Jessielovessesshomar Oh gosh... u have to find something that is square shaped and hard that wont get soggy in the alcohol...

  • @Jessielovessesshomar your welcome, glad I could help. ;)

  • What palette is it? :) and where do you buy it? :)

  • @acolorfuldreamer its the Manly 120 palette and I got it off Ebay.

  • My kid messed mine up and some of the colors I couldn't save but for the most part it's ok now. This really works. And I got mine off eBay for those of you who are looking for one. I think it was around $20

  • @DonettaHicks yeah it does work... I never had a problem with the shadows that i fixed

  • Damn, i wish i had a pallet like that just to drop it and fix it... It looks like fun ^_^

  • @Music1uv3r279 lol it was kinda fun

  • Well done! A 5p piece will work for UK viewers.=)

Personally, I use a piece of greaseproof paper or a tissue and re-press with that.

  • Where did you get that palette? If you could tell me where I could get that and about how much it costs that would be great.

    Thanks :)

  • @Star1703Girl Your welcome...glad I could help.

  • Idk if this is safe, like what if it gets into your eyeeee?

  • @MangoFlavoredCarter let the rubbing alcohol completely dry before you use the eyeshadow. and it wont bother your eye.

  • @puttputtroundabout very true... alcohol evaporates...I never had a problem with my eyes getting sensitive

  • @MangoFlavoredCarter You do have to wait for it to dry completely

  • wow- seems that really works huh? but does the alcohol affect the eyeshadow in any way? won´t it go bad?

  • (If only i knew this video before when my blush palette broke last year i wouldn't have thrown it away and order a new one.Waste of money) Anyway I have a BH Cosmetics 88 Color Matte Palette and i dropped it.sad part?my favorite color from that palette just broke and flew everywhere!i picked up the pieces and did every instruction in this video.thank you.LIFE SAVER!

  • omg I'm getting one of them off eBay!

  • @ItJustAnotherRandomo love mine, still use it. lol

  • hey guys new mineral makeup line. i need subbies and friends. pls

  • i had to do something similar to my palette that i got off of ebay. all the shadows were fine except for a blue one and a bronze one the top and i fixed it with a dried out baby wipe, a few drops of rubbing alcohol and a dime and i let it dry over night and it was fine. it wasnt domed like the others but it was flat and packed. as long as it was fixed i didnt care lol. my 120 palette was only like $10 so i wasnt too hurt. i wouldve been mad if a spend alot of money on it. great video. thx

  • @Malile30 Good luck! Just don't use to much alcohol cause it can make it really mushy...less is more lol. Thanks for commenting.

  • This video really helped me out!!:) thank u soooooo much

  • Gr8 tips thx 4 the vid I -3 it

  • @kooliopuff10 Ty!!!

  • Using a dime isn't really sanitary...even if you dropped it in Rubbing alcohol for a while, I don't think you could get all the grime and bacteria off it...?

  • @blysse27 I had it in clorox bleach for a while then rinsed it off with soap and water first.

  • Hi .. what is the name of the song used in the video? I loved it!

  • @aline123321 I'll have to look back and check that out not sure but I'll let u know

  • OMG I LOVE YOU

  • @xBunnyxPornx Lol thanks love u too! Thanks for the comment made me laugh. Glad I can help

    People. :O)

  • ???? what kinda rubbing alcohol like really rubbing alcohal because that suck?

  • @eemily414 it's isopropyl rubbing alcohol 70% and it says right under that first aid antiseptic... For rubbing and massaging.... Hope that helps! Also I got it from CVS

  • how do you like the palette? i just ordered one but then my friend told me she didn't like it when she tried it :\ i've heard more good then bad tho

  • @spoogysprouts I love it.... the pigmentation on it is amazing the only bad thing is some of the colors can be a bit chalky and powdery but you can still use them just fine. About 10 girls at my job had me order them one of these when I got mine and everyone single person loved it. One guy even bought one for his girlfriend... it was too cute...he was even impressed. Hope you like it!

  • your a god damn genius

  • @spoogysprouts LOL you just made me laugh out loud!!! Thanks but gotta say I saw this done by someone else in a longer more detailed way and I wanted to simplify it a bit... Thanks for commenting!!!

  • Great video! I love how you do your makeup, you inspired me to post videos on my channel(:

  • @Makeuphipster Thank you :0)

  • BLESS YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!! :)))

  • @walker00ks Awww thanks lol

  • @ beshionishe it's isopropyl rubbing alcohol 70% and it says right under that first aid antiseptic... For rubbing and massaging.... Hope that helps! Also I got it from Cvs which is a drugstore...

  • The long text part.... you had it too fast, I just had to pause the video in order to read that.

    D:

  • Im so stupid, i didnt have any eyeshadow broken when i got it in the mail, but now i dropped the palette and i broke 2 eyeshadows :S We dont have rubbing alcohol in Finland, so can i use 37% alcohol?

  • @janitajasmin give it a try? :) (mäkin oon suomesta btw)

  • @Deawlie Haha, ja sit sun piti vastata enkuks?? :DD

  • @janitajasmin tottahan toki :::D

  • @janitajasmin gosh i really dont know im sorry! I dont want to tell you yes then your makeup gets messed up.

  • Does the alchohal affect the product at all?

  • but this works with any other eyeshadow ?

  • Thank You, that really helped me!

  • lifesaver-^_^-

  • why can't I just use water?

  • You did a good job, I arrived and was broken just a color and already bunched up ^ ^

  • I dont have alcohol, can i use something else?

  • I really dont know sorry!

  • @janitajasmin I saw this one chick use Vodka.. was pretty funny

  • @jbarum did it work lol?

  • @Qbanmami379 It appeared to. I mean rubbing alcohol... alcohol.. Very similar. Though I personally wouldn't waste the vodka on my eyeshadow. Lol

  • Thank you. But i just would like to know are those repaired colours dried out? As in is it hard to use them again and pick the product up with the brush to use? Thank you again ^^

  • @allierosegurl they arent hard to use at all.... ive no had problem 1 year later with any of my colors that broke and I fixed :0)

  • @Qbanmami379 and allierosegurl:

Do remember that cosmetics also have their deadlines..... do NOT use make-up that has been over 12 months or more.

If you value your facial skin, then discard cosmetics that have been kept so long, although the date isn't printed on the product.

ALWAYS note down the date when you bought the make-up. Even better, note down the manufactured date. For eye make-ups, 12 months is already considered hazardous to the skin around the eyes.

    Better be safe than sorry.

  • @Qbanmami379 Hi, could you say the brand and name of the rubbing you used, so that I could look it up and find an alternative in Europe?

  • @Aaliyasaccount yes works the same

  • @Aaliyasaccount yes same exact pigmentation :) and its been over a year since i fixed my palette.

  • you are so like my best friend right now, I have 3 coastal scents palettes and a manly palette all with a few broken shadows and I had no idea how to fix them. You are amazing doll thanks a million

  • @FL0WPR3TTY awwww lol thanks so much your comment made me smile. i was so freaking happy when it worked for me lol. I started crying when I dropped mines, i was soooo mad!. Thanks for the comment.

  • can it be proxide?

  • @KTHrocks I wouldnt use peroxide... that stuff bubbles up and I just wouldnt take a chance getting that near my eyes.

  • @Qbanmami379 thank u :D

  • Instead of a paper towel I'd probably use wax paper. That's what I've used with pressing pigments.

  • @theemrsramirez cool, I like the paper towel bc when I went a little over board with the alcohol it absorbed the extra.

  • FAV FAV FAV!! I was looking for reviews on the manly palette and found this! i'm gonna get it. thank you.

  • @widdlee sweet! thanks so much for the comment. I love my palette so many colors to play with and such great pigmentation.

  • my palette came like 2 weeks ago it came perfect but when I lift it up the black shado cracked *_* I tried to fix it how this vid showed but it didn't work at all and I tried to do it just like the vid .. it was a disaster it when all over my floor bc it gat stuck in the paper tawel and lil crunches went on the floor when I tried to clean them it smuched it now I have big black lines all over the floor :( and of course the black shadow was completely ruin .. pls post a vid were you do it
  • @SuperJenifer93 sorry it didnt work for you! I dont have any broken shadows right now but if it does happen again, Ill do one. You kinda gotta get the shadow wet so that its kinda goopy. If you do it and its too dry then it will crumble like you said.

  • Thank you so much my son just droped mine I'll fix it tomorrow all the best

  • @Adeelah79 yay glad I can help. :)

  • Thank you for posting this. I don't have this palette, but I know many who do. And i'm sure they will appreciate it too.

I was just curious as to whether a person could use something like wax paper instead. I was thinking that would leave a smoother texture, and also, not much of the product would stick to the wax paper. Naturally, i'm thinking wax side up, so you don't get wax in your shadows. or better yet.. cheesecloth. What do you think?

  • @anniefoofoo the only thing about wax paper is that it wont absorb the alcohol you put in, bc sometimes if you put too much it becomes messy. I dont know about the cheesecloth, it should be something that is very smooth so it wont pick up your eyeshadow too much you know what i mean?

  • I ordered mine today, hopefully it doesnt break! But if it does at least i'll know how to fix it!

  • @SDAR77 thanks for the comment!

  • thank ya

  • @xoxoCINxoxo your welcome! thanks for the comment

  • @kathleenthebeanie hope it worked for you!

  • can you use anything to substitute the rubbing alcohol?

  • @KlRSTY im sure you could, like the real stuff thats used to mix eyeshadow but I had alcohol at home so just tried this.

  • yay! thank you! i saw a couple other videos of compacting shadows, but i was wondering how would I do it with the shadows on the palette, just in time I saw your video.

  • i just ordered a manly palette and i faved this vid in case some come cracked! :P

  • @KuromiCupcake hope your order was fine! thanks for the comment

  • @Qbanmami379 they all were fine! but one was complete powder! and went everywhere xD but if it was fixable i would of used this video to help :P

  • @KuromiCupcake glad yours werent broken! lol

  • you can also instead of usin the paper towel use a piece of t shirt;, it works great;, not hatin or bein mean im jus addin cause i tried the t shirt and it helps

  • @candybar227 I think you are totally right!!! a couple times I pressed too hard and the paper ripped! So yeah I think using a t-shirt is a great idea. :)

  • @Qbanmami379 yeah a shirt will do better:D

  • Thank u ladies!!! yeah it is pretty simple to do and it's not that all the comments I have gotten are positive. I feel very lucky! Xo

  • I love this song too, hope you dont get any broken ones!

  • The alcohol does not dry out the shadow or chande the consistancy does it? And is the alcohol a certain percentage (i.e. 90%, 70%)?

  • No it does not dry it out... I actually ran out of rubbing alcohol but its from the drugstore, it was the stores brand it was nothing fancy...

  • My came half an hour ago. 4 were broken. I fixed them.... Hope they'll be usable :)

  • Yay glad it worked for you
