  • hi there.. i want this too but cant reach the budget. What other preamp/DI did you considered aside from this one, I mean your second and third choices?

  • great demo thanks

  • You got a nice groove :)

I really like that kind a funky stuff :D

  • really quick replay! :) thanx.

i thought that slap sound has more to do with the "edge" and the "middle" area

but my question remains.i think it's hard to equalize the volumes of the two channels

.i hope that there is a (A+B) and A possibility too (than the A and B separated)

  • @FortySixAndTwo86 it works both ways. you can separate the channels and mixed them together too.

  • hello my friend. i have a question.let's say for example that you play in channel A with a deep bass sound with some boost and suddenly it's time for a more slappy sound with no drive at all.channel B isn't too loud enough in this case.what do you do? and my second question is :is is better to have the volume level at 100% so you don't increase the amp level than to have the volume at 50% for example and louder the level of the amplifier

  • @FortySixAndTwo86 Hi

Channel A doesn't have drive, Channel B does. If I'm to go for a very very specific sound, I'd go channel B for fingerstyle/deep bass sound & channel A for slap. On the EBS PreAmp I don't usually go with volume on full, because I want to have abit of BOOST too.. What BOOST does is that it increases the sensitivity of the frequencies, and if you have volume on full, the sound will get too harsh.

  • Yes for this time one video shows how it works with anything behind !!!

    Nice !

    Good pedal i think !

  • Your pedal grew a mini human head from 2:45-3:06.

    Just thought you should know.

  • Do you prefer this pedal or the Sadowsky preamp. I'm preferably looking at the Sadowsky onboard preamp right now.

  • @JazzBass7 If you want great lows, go for the Sadowsky. The EBS has it too, but in different way. But if I could only have one, I'll go with EBS.

  • @terrykumar Yeah, I love phat pounding lows and good crisp highs. The demonstration video you did with your Sadowsky was awesome. I believe the Sadowsky will help me achieve my sound but you could also try the EBS amps. If you have never tried them then you should. I tried a combo amp on stage with old strings and it was the best my bass as ever sounded in my life. Their amps are unbeatable so I'm gonna get one after my Sadowsky preamp.

  • @JazzBass7 Sadowsky bass / onboard pre and EBS amp will be killer. That is not a Sadowsky bass btw, that's a Mailloux 70s lol. Sadowsky electronics though. about 60% of the cost of NYC sadowsky, with same specs.

  • @terrykumar Yeah, I remember you saying that your bass was a Mailloux. But it sounds great either way dude. But yeah EBS are some incredible amps and cabs. The next best bass with an AWESOME 70's punchy tone is a bass brand called F Clef bass. YouTube them....their 5 strings sound better than a lot of 4 strings but they costs A LOT!!! lol

  • @JazzBass7 Yeah man. But I think Phil is able to do that. I've seen it, and to me any boutique jazz basses will always sound good, esp the 70s. Just have to experiment with the pre/pup config. If you ever make one, you should try Aero pickups w/ Mike Pope pre. That's one config I'm yet to try, but for me the bass that I have right now is just as good as fodera, fclef, sadowsky, whatever, you know?

  • @JazzBass7 I also have Sadowsky onboard pre on my Mailloux 70s.. It's totally different animal. I used to have both, the onboard and the microbass pedal. The thing is, the MB works well with passive basses. I have never found similar flexibility on the EQ on other pedals, to be honest. It's by far the most complete.

  • Now this is what a demo is suppose to be,just showing the product and what it can do. I also think it was a good idea to demo it with the tone circuits a 12 o'clock is good

  • I think this review it'isnt justice with the EBS microbassII.

In this review, it sounds very metalic and transparent...without any groove, warmth or fat sound, and i think this pre-amp is capable to sound like a fat bottomed girl!!!

    (It's only my oppinion...)

  • any chance of doing a video showing the drive function?

  • please man, post a video with driver review and aplications...pleaseeee??:)

  • Damn that sounds good. Thanks for posting this. :)

  • how much is it? I'd like to buy :D

  • how much is it? I'd like to buy :D

  • This vid persuaded me to buy this pedal and I love it! Thanks!

  • is that some mexican bass?

  • No, its a squier vintage modified jazz bass.

  • hey man, a question.

how did you record this? did you use the xlr out?

    could you tell me?

  • nah the output plug.

  • Would you recommend it? Is it good for gigs and studio recording?

  • VERY. The sound in the recording aint do the justice.

  • Add "&fmt=18" to the URL to get better quality sound. It's all in the left speaker, however.

  • Comment removed

  • Great pedal! I also seen Sadowsky preamp video..

    what pedal do you prefer??
