  • beauiful voice god bles "My island" (brave heart).

  • THANK YOU FOR SPEAKING GAEILGE! Up to our generation to bring it back. I am learning it, otherwise i would write as gaeilge. Long live Ireland and her mother- tongue!'

  • omg i love it!!!! i wish i could learn to speak but it would prove to be quit difficult with the southern drawl i have :(

  • samseksuloj

  • It's an old joke about two jewish men. One of them crosses himself and the other one asks why, so he says just checking, spectacles, testicles, wallet and watch. I heard that joke many years before Nuns on the Run was made, so I know where they got it from. It's almost as old as my wife's gone to the West Indies, Jamaica?, no she went of her own accord OR my dog's got no nose, how does he smell?, awful.

  • its SPECTACLES not testicles you moran!

  • @xxxaislinnhxxx it's spectacles, testicles, wallet and watch..and she knows that cos she explained towards the end...bresticles was her own input. and no need for the name calling, they are lovely girls who could be doin a lot worse with their time..

  • @Lindiebell well said!

  • My God, lovely voice, and absolutelly loved the song!! =) Niice

  • Maith thú lena amhrán a canadh agus nach glacadh páirt i chómortas "All Ireland Talent Show". Video like watching a ping pong match :)

  • Aw... I just LOVE that language (I'm a Spanish-speaking girl, btw)... hopefully I'll learn it someday :)

  • Tá sibh an-ghreannmhar!!

  • WHAT A VOICE. GREAT.

  • i love gaelige language!!

  • You guys are good at Irish y'know? I can only say a few phrases etc. I can sing a song as gaelige though called "an Bratach ban" you might know it. I do French at school here in England and I think i'm about as old as you were in this video and I can't speak french anywhere near as fluently as you are speaking Irish. so well done to you. I'm going to UCD hopefully so I'll look you up right?

  • yer but i think they're native irish speakers and didn't just learn it in school. Anyway its true that she has a beautiful voice and Iove the Irish language. I've jst started learning it.

  • are they native?

i can usually tell by if i can understand them or not. i cant understand native speakers, especially from donegal but i can understand them

  • That's actually a dialect thing. The standrard dialect that they teach you in school is very simplified, but it's based mroe on Connacht and Munster Irish, which means it would be easier for you to understand. I'm a native speaker from Conamara, and my family host english speakers, and in Conmara we use "Cisteanach" for Kitchen, instead of Cistin.

  • im from donegal just not the gaeltacht part, but my teacher insisted on using the donegal dialect alot so i do understand the dialect, not very well but well enough. its just the way the people from west donegal speak. its very soft with all the words running in together. like i remember washing dishes with my bean an ti and she just said "ta se ag cur farraigne" (not sure on spelling), which i understand perfectly. but the way she said it it was so fst nd shoved together i coldnt understand it.

  • Same here. But I go to a Gaelscoil, but some of the teachers aren't from around here, we have a teacher who is from Cork, and he speaks and writes Munster Irish, which does get annoying at times. But irish dialects are very distinguishable, especially in the way it's spoken. I personally don't care for the "standard" dialect.

  • they are defo from a ghaeltacht area

  • Comment removed

  • wow!! that song was really pretty!

  • gaelighe is a really beautiful language. to a lot of ppl in ireland speak it?

  • well, its a compulsory language in school in ireland, but not many ppl i no enjoy learnin it, mainly due to d way its taught, english is the first language of ppl in ireland, but there are the gealtacht regions (mainly in the west of the country) where ppl speak it fluently and use it everyday

  • unfortunately no =( Everyone between the age of 4 and 16-18 learn it...but only certain areas speak it all the time =(

  • I was just having that conversation last night, about how beautiful a language Gaelic is sung.

I found this video very entertaining.

  • Irish is such a cool/beautiful sounding language, especially for singing.

    Nice vid.

  • I'm not one to say something about someone's singing because I usually hate most singing. But her voice and the language with it just everything about her sining was just beautiful.

P.s. how does she get her make up like that? I am trying to learn Gaelic right now because my fiance' is from Navan and I am moving to Kells here in June so I am a newbie at it but with time I will learn. Slan leat!

  • Search: IrishVocalist on YouTube and you'll find her channel.

  • I love beer.

  • lol :) wish i knew Irish..alot of the words are English words too. Just like with alot of languages ? yea

  • Nope, its a whole other language.

  • oooh ok cool :)

  • most irish speakers throw in random english words into the conversation- that's probably what you heard!

  • Yeah I think so... heh thnx dont i feel dumb :)

  • Whats JACKEEN IN IRISH?

  • oh btw, my screen name is from an unfortunate experience with an english gf not nationalism, but I AM proud to be Irish, make no mistake. anyways, you'll probably be going through hundreds of requests to meet Michelle from all the weirdos on the net, (or maybe just from me?) so I'll keep it short. Like I said before, I love the videos.

  • So... she needs a bf? I'M SINGLE (again.) oh well she's so cute though... man I'm depressed now... such a great voice! ugh I wish I could keep a tune. hey if your friend is still single...tell her to call. you have a message from me with my phone in your messages on youtube. right well later. (actually I don't care if she's looking right now, I just need a contact in Ireland, as I'm hoping to move.)

  • whats morto as gailge??

  • 'morto', as in italian for 'dead', in irish is 'marbh'

  • Ah, thats cleared that up. Thank you.

  • Any plans to make another totally random video again? This was great, and should be seen more often.... just two people having a genuine good time and fooling around.

  • Sadly no lol. I'm from California so Spanish I can speak a little but gaelic not really lol

  • lol...gaelic is easy to learn

  • Maybe over there but here I don't know anyone whos speaks it and the fastest way to learn a language is through constant practice and use of it. So if I just read like all the words and stuff and never use it, its gonna take me forever.

  • lol ok

  • what island you from?

  • Are you a Native Speaker ? In which area of Ireland do you live ?
