Well, you don't need to talk to her or Liara all the time to romance them. Just start to talk to one of them just after the Virmire mission (before you go to the citadel and they ground you). The options will instantly lock you onto the character you talked to and when the Normandy gets grounded at Citadel later, she comes to Shepard and confesses her love. Simple!
Hmm, I am redoing mass effect 1 and this part her sister was talking about Kaidan and not my toon. Think that means I end up with Liara. win/win either way.

I just finished Feros and I don't even have the conversation option. All I have is the conversation of her complaigning about having the aliens on board. The closest I have is at the end when I ask if she'd kiss anyone I tell her too, and she basically tells me no. Did I do something wrong?

Then I realised there was the Kaidan option & switched to Hale. Incredible difference in their performances.
I thought I was gonna pick Liara at first given Ashley's xenophobic tendencies, but those can be fixed by talking to her about it. Liara is way too desperate for some Earth dick. Ash is a challenge.
Well its like that because Ashley is there from the beginning You may not get Liara until late in the game, if you choose to go to Noveria and Feros first. I think BioWare really wanted to push the love interest conflict, so they had to speed it up in case you got her late in the game. So thats why she comes off as really in to you really quickly. However don't forget you meld minds with her twice, that is probably a fast way to get close to a person.
Not only is this a great way to make sure you hook up with Ashley, but Liara's dialogue when you first meet her is actually pretty funny if you go to Therum last.
Be a total asshole to Liara, and actively seek out Ashley on the bottom deck and talk to her after every mission. When in doubt, pick the top right option on the dialogue wheel. (Take the elevator on the middle deck down to the bottom deck.)
Can't wait for the potential romantic sub-plot with Miranda in Mass Effect 2. If they don't include the possability to bang a character bassed on Yvonne Strahovski of all people, I will revolt. Things shall be set on fire.
You can romance Miranda. Unless she is, in the immortal words of Paula Abdul, a total cold hearted snake with love for nothing but money, I'd say she trumps Ashley. Liara ain't my speed. Immediately after we met she was like "do you feel it too??"

@TheRevanindoril She changes. It's subtle, but it does. She tells you that you should go comfort Liara after she loses her mom and in various conversations with your various alien party members she shows a lot of sympathy towards them, especially as the game goes on.

Exactly. I agree. Humanity must not stand alone, aliens are needed, and humanity needs help. A Coalition of Planets, an alliance between humanity and other sentient beings, a Federation. That sounds much better to me. Only time I would romance Ashley when if I want to be Renegade Shepard and sacrifice the Citadel Council and start a new one and humanity is in charge that would be something like a Terran Empire (the evil Federation) from the (evil) mirror universe of Star Trek. :D
You don't have to say exactly what this person said. I got the Paramour acheivment (i play on the 360, not PC) today and all you really have to do is talk to them regularly after each mission, the plot should develop as such, and you'll notice it. The only thing i can really say is to be kind and understanding. A.K.A Paragon rather than renegade. That should get you where you want ;) Hope this helps!

But after that mission after I save her while she arms the nuke I can't dance with her and she doesn't talk with me and Liara ends up fucking me =.=

Well its like that because Ashley is there from the beginning You may not get Liara until late in the game, if you choose to go to Noveria and Feros first. I think BioWare really wanted to push the love interest conflict, so they had to speed it up in case you got her late in the game. So thats why she comes off as really in to you really quickly. However don't forget you meld minds with her twice, that is probably a fast way to get close to a person.

Not only is this a great way to make sure you hook up with Ashley, but Liara's dialogue when you first meet her is actually pretty funny if you go to Therum last.

Be a total asshole to Liara, and actively seek out Ashley on the bottom deck and talk to her after every mission. When in doubt, pick the top right option on the dialogue wheel. (Take the elevator on the middle deck down to the bottom deck.)

I think she was supposed to be the obligatory "hot nerd who needs to be brought out of her shell". LOL but I won't lie, she did have some dialogue that made me laugh. (An example is if you save Liara really late the first time you encounter her, or during the 3-way confrontation. Something about the way she thinks about human jealousy cracks me up.)

people talk about the "dog" conversation, but it was seriously misinterpreted. pay attention and you realize the humans in the story are the aliens and the dogs are the humans- aliens will throw humans in harms way because they aren't alien (same idea with all species i think). hence she doesn't trust them.

That sounds much better to me. You don't have to say exactly what this person said. I got the Paramour acheivment (i play on the 360, not PC) today and all you really have to do is talk to them regularly after each mission, the plot should develop as such, and you'll notice it. The only thing i can really say is to be kind and understanding. A.K.A Paragon rather than renegade. That should get you where you want ;) Hope this helps!
