Holding a public office in any country, beside normal rat races that associated with the process, you have to be a person who's responsibility includes placing the welfare and well being of the people that elected you in the office above all else. You have to have a sense of duty, honor, and standards with the ability to judge rights from wrongs with welfare of all Thai in mind.

I adore Mr.Thaksin. He's such a nice guy. He helped poor people by lending them money and not asking anything back but the vote for his cabinet. Even better, he used the tax money to give away $25000 for each village (about 76 x 20 x 20 villages) in Thailand, not a dime from his pocket. A very smart man really. I have to love this guy!

Yes, but democracy also involves free press - Thaksin censored the press.
Most importantly, the system of checks and balances - trust me, he screwed around with it massively and it meant nothing. If you don't understand, read up on what he did to the Election Commission, National Counter Corruption Commission, Attorney-General's Office, Senate, etc. etc. over the last few years. Trust me, his rule was not democratic.

About dividing the country, that would never happen! Maybe some little bloodshed, but it's alright. This is just a step we have to go thru, everybody does. We just need to accept that people think differently and accept what the majority want. It has been 75 years now since the Rama VII king gave us "Democracy", sadly not too many people appreciated it.

No arguments about that. A military coup is also bad. It is outdated way of seizing power. A government can only be legal if the majority in a country voted for them to be in power.
