They did the Slick version later. Slick's nickname back in the day was "Da Storyteller" (see: songs like Children's Story, Hey Young World, A Teenage Love, etc.) Slick was reknown for his storytelling ability. His first album was called The Misadventures of Slick Rick which put his skills on full display. So when 'Kast wrote a song and titled it "Da Art of Storytellin'" it kinda payed homage to Slick. When they decided to do a video they reached out to Slick and he was down to collabo
