i really like your set up just a m-audio ekeys with a macbook pro and a nano kontrol. Its so simple that its brilliant! I want a set up similar to yours i was wondering if i could do this same thing with the macbook air?
@algebraparish Cool, thanks! MacBook Air.. yeah, sure. Especially the newer ones should be fast enough to do some serious audio processing. They've got dual USB2 - enough to connect things. That eKeys is really bad quality, you might consider either the newer Korg Microkey or the Akai LPK25 or something that has a much higher build quality.
Yo I just downloaded it last night, and played around with the arpeggio. I realised you've got ableton running. Can you use it as a VST? I've only used the standalone software...
Thanks, hehe. The keyboard is eKeys Evolution, think it's renamed M-Audio eKeys 37 now. If you're picky, it's bad, cheap quality and a little latency. But it's light weight and wide enough for two hands, unlike the good quality Akai LPK25 (25 keys) that is basically for one hand. The other controller is a Korg nanoKontrol.
Aooww.. my eKeys Evolution just died! The plastic of one of the keys is finally weak enough to always trigger a note :( Well well.. next: OP-1, when when wheeen??
The controller is a KORG nanoKONTROL. Cheap and simple to use. I set up as many parameters as I could, and through Ableton Live mapping the bottom buttons to select what midi channel in the plug-in I'm editing.
Plogue says Live is to blame ;) Let's hope this will all be smooth with the new Live 8.0.5 that I'm downloading now, and I'll check out my setup again. Maybe I did some bad routing.
I dont want to put 100% of the blame on the host, but the crash logs dont point elsewhere for the moment. Please keep sending more if you get any other reproduceable one.

@sinetwo Yes, I think when you install Chipsounds it'll automatically installs itself as a VST version as well, doesn't it?

@cuckoomusic Yep, I just bought it and it works flawlessly :) I just did a beat with it as well :D

Shit sorry to hear that. They must be really crap quality.
Thanks for the warning still :)
And the OP-1 looks amazing doesn't it?! Guess it'll be costing a bit more that 40 euros though haha.

What are the controllers you're using? They seem to work out well for the software. I'm trying to get the right set up to compliment the software.
