Well I did spar with him, I threw a multiple jab combination, and a low roundhouse kick, he punched the inside of my jabbing hand almost breaking my elbow, and did some kind of block on my leg, what kept me from getting seriously hurt was I kept circling around him. I also sparred against Vladimir Vasiliev, I threw a jab cross combo at him, he did some kind of whipping motion and tied up my arms almost breaking one of them. Hey Im an MMa guy I have no reason to defend these guys.
I like Combat Sambo also, all Russian disciplines are great, they teach u how to hit hard, and be illusive, most of all how to be tough. But the striking from Systema, bullshit or not, u can't fake how hard they hit, theres a real art there.
Alot of people who don't know anything about Systema, or fighting for that matter watch these videos and think that Mikhail is bullshit, but trust me if he were or this stuff didn't work, someone in Russia would've exposed it. There are alot of tough people overthere who definately want to prove hes not real, not like in the Usa, were everyone is politically correct.
@poohpoohcaca systema is virtually unknown in russia,most think its rubbish,the military use combat sambo,not systema fantasy techniques.It has been exposed but theres no law to stop him selling his bullshit.
@billysue2 Well, I'm a mma fighter/martial artist with street fighting expierence and his bullshit worked on me, the only thing that saved me when I sparred with him, was my footwork, had I stayed in the clinch, or boxing range, I wouldve got hurt. Bullshit or not, Ive never been hit that hard before, by Boxers/Thai fighters, Mma guys whoever, and I have used it in two street confrontations that Ive had, there was no thinking just reacting unlike the other disciplines Ive studied. I like Sambo
@poohpoohcaca you never sparred him because he never spars anyone.Full contact sparring doesnt exist in systema,when it does it looks nothing like what they teach,like every other horseshit style
@billysue2 The reason that there is no sparring in systema is because it is not safe to spar. Practising like this is the clossest you can come to sparring with systema. In realy fight systema looks very different because it is a real fight that involves the hurting of other human beings or even animals. You can not spar with this martial art. It is not a sport.
@ThePrincessMoonbeam its safe to spar with any martial art with some restrictions on targets and with protective equipment,the alternative is a fantasy method like that seen above,completely useless and the laughing stock amongst real fighters everywhere.If you dont practise fighting you will not be able to fight when the time comes unless you are a natural fighter and have good timing.
@scarred10 Systema fighter do practice timing. Look more carefully to the training video and with a mind that is respectfully interested in things you do not understand. Besides, if you want to practise a correct timing during a fight it can help to take cooking classes and work in a restaurant kitchen for a while.
@billysue2 High class units, are training Systema Kadochnikova and there is definetely "not so defined" Army style systema practiced in these units (lot of a times focused not so much on techniques rather tactics and psychology).
The guys coordination is extremely sick, how does he do this stuff with seemingly no effort
