So maybe you answered this in your video and I just didn't understand it, but when I change it to 16:9, and the original video file is 4:3, it won't go widescreen, it just shows black sides.. I know you can fix that with Sony Vegas but can you with WMM?

yeah this doesn't exactly work, atleast not for me, and no unless you use a converter 4:3 footage wont work, to naturally get widescreen you need to film in widescreen. But even when I filmed in widescreen then added the widescreen setting it still didnt work, the bars on the side werent as big, but didn't fill in the 16:9 box. Windows doesnt like me
