Romantic? The song is about a guy who is ready to go kill someone for the Mob cause he's sick of feeling like a "loser". I suppose its romantic when he says he's going to stick with her even though the relationship has gone cold, but it seems more like desperation than romance to me.

Still, one of his best songs. Man, from a time when song writers were story tellers. :)
