Corps use carbonation in their brews so they don't have to age them. This causes them to have a best before date. When you do it right you have a best after date, hence what a true lager is. Lager, as in to be stored for a long time.

Ergo, I found it to be a surprisingly great choice with a tomato based pasta with a side of beluga caviar, followed by a fabulous calf's liver. The next I cross the Pond to, I may consider your product.

It had been around ten years since I drank any kind of malt liquor, until recently. Unfortunately I didn't have the funds for any premium beer, so I hesitantly went with Colt 45 (too many bad memories of Old "E"). I have to say that I was actually surprised. Admittedly, my expectations were low, but the beer could have been much, much worse.
Fortunately I'm usually drinking "good" beer, but in a pinch I would drink this again. Nice review!

Indeed, you have articulated my findings succinctly. Now that hops have been eliminated, I believe we are one step closer to unraveling the Colt 45 recipe.
Way to tackle those cheap beers we all bought in high school by the 40's. As much as everyone hates to admit some cheaper beers are almost as good as the more expensive ones. Samuel Adams, Heineken, Cororona, or Old English appeal to different tastes but one is not that far ahead of another to justify the 4X price tag.

We used to drink 40's of this all the time back in the day. Not horrible, but not good by any means. If you want true foulness, try a 40 of King Kobra.
i've ad king cobra 2-3 times in 32oz bottles on vication it's 6% and it's good,but firt time i feelt yucky off it and alsmost never drank it agaon 2nd time/possable 3rd i was okay after it. I alsi had a few 5.6% colt 45's on vication called malt liquor they are good
I personally think that the "why bother if you already know it's crap" argument is itself crap. Every beer deserves a fair review, no matter what it's reputation is. Good video, man -- I liked seeing those Billy Dee clips again!
Colt 45 is always good. I recommend it to everyone. If you haven't had Malts or any good malts then get this. It's pretty good.

i dont recall ever having colt 45. keystone is my favorite cheap beer. i think maybe what your missing is that you have to drink it from the can.
but after seeing this i will have to pick up a can or bottle next time i am in the store.

I call 24oz cans either king cans or tallboys. In fact, I think "tallboy" is the official beerdom name for those cans. LOL
Yeah bad beers can be fun to review just to rip on them. ANd some of them aren't even overtly offensive - they're drinkable.

@elharlock Yeah totally agree. Some "bad beers" aren't that bad. Keystone Light wasn't offensive, it was just bland as fuck.
But I dont drink beer to get drunk so taste means a lot to me.
