  • Can you do this exercise again but this time, remove all your clothing? ;)

  • its not good to lock your knees up liek that...the dude in the background has better form

  • Oh and breaking up hour of power into 2 sets of 30 with 7 min rest in-between a good way to train,,,,, but the real test is gona be how far and or what kinda pace you can maintain for an hour straight nonstop no rests!!! Very tough mentally and physically

Builds mental as well as physical toughness

  • @Airman749 where do you row? and what is your back ground in moto or on water racing? Thnks for the comments. The more people that relize for good rowing is for moto the better. Will you be at C.R.A.S.H.'s this year?

  • Good workout!! And nice concept with the handlebars trying to use same muscles as on

Motorbike,,,, but please learn proper technique!!! And don't forget about longer rowing sets as other commentor suggested

It's one thing to have strength but you've gota have some longer rowing sets to really build muscular endurance!! Hour of power a tough one!!! Try it sometime, how far can you row in an hour nonstop??????

Anyone doing more than 15,000 meters is in excellent shape

  • if i went into my gym and try to put a set of pro taper bars on the rower they would call out the men in the white coats

  • Nick, It would be hard to tell you everything that you can do with the equipment that you have but just keep in mind the real goal is a high strength to weight ratio. You don't need show muscles you need GO muscles and cardio. The Rower is the most important part of the program. If you cant get that start running.

  • Ok buddy but what about us kids that don't have all this weight equipment?? What workouts can I do with a bench and barbell, and dumbells to help me with motocross?

  • this workout is to easy

  • 8 sets!!!

  • I love the idea of push ups with a set of bars. Teach's good balance!!!

  • make sure you dont overstretch your knees in this exercise.

as a race rower I see some improvement to make in this exercise but apart from that its cool.

If you really want to train strength theres a thing we call "hour of power" which basically is full power at a very low rate (20/21 spm) but at around 1.55/500m.

Do this twice for 30 minutes, 7 minute break in between and after a month you'll definately feel the strength and the endurance

  • And it's free! You can't beat that. Keep up the good work. - Greg

  • I just tried this workout for the first time tonight... it's nuts

  • this is a great work out. It doesn't take long and after a couple of weeks you feel a lot stronger. Try the other two workouts and if you want more after that feel free to call Concept2. Races are won in the off season. Train hard. - Greg

  • Yeah I'm doing the 3 rowing workouts 1 on Mon, 2 on Wed and 3 on Friday, and I got strenght training workouts off of virtual trainer, You guys have been more help than any trainer i could hire locally, Thanks!

  • You can use it year round but in different ways. Strength in offseason, warm ups and maintenance training during the season and a combination in the preseason. feel free to call concept2 and ask for Greg if you have more questions. - Greg

  • Would this be best used in preseason, inseason, postseason, or offseason workouts?

  • Most 24 hour fitness's, Gold's gyms and almost all CrossFit gyms have them. The rowers are not all that expensive so ask you local gym to get one and when they realize what they cost the tend to get one. - Greg

  • does any basic local gym have these machines

  • what muscles does this workout?

  • Legs, back, arms, abs, and a lot of cardio.

  • Nice video!! That is a gnarly workout by the way!
