There is a male and a female at the school that i have been trying to catch since football, i felt bad because he was tangled up in the fence and cut his tail off near the end, and no it didnt fall off it got cut, but my bro is herpetologist or however you spell it, and he said it will live, so im keeping it, ill post a vid soon.

  • I had Collareds for years. They're incredibly beautiful and good natured. They LOVE to run and if you let them run around the house you'll see them run on their hind legs when they build up enough speed!

    Cool little guys!

  • Wow, Beautiful Lizards. They are spectacular. How old where they when you got them? O and in the begining i though that was a huge egg. LOL

  • I had a Collared lizard as pet when I was younger. Caught him on my 1st trip to Arizona.....a magnificent animal!! Unfortunately, I cared for him for around a year....and he slowly became sicker and sicker in capitvity.....finally he wouldn't eat and later died. Now, I'm not saying you will do this to yours.....I was young an inexperienced. I just would rather enjoy these guys in the wild. Will you ever release yours?

  • No Nfiret, these guys were bought online and CB so I can't let them go here in West Virginia. We've had them for over 6 months and they are doing great and will lay eggs soon.. They are really neat to sit and watch though..

  • @Nfiret Sounds like Metabolic bone disorder. Seems like you didnt have proper UV spectrum lighting.

  • No they are easy to care for, nothing to it.. Do some research, read up..
