  • I do not like this.

I prefer Goldeneye's over this anyday.

  • @MercenaryRundas You lack taste.

  • Yes,I like it,considerably...!

  • This one is catchy!!!! I didn't see the gunbarrel scene coming XD! But still! I still like the others except Quatnum of Solace's.

  • badass music

  • Yes. Considerably.

  • not bad, but i think its a pity that they abandoned the old gunbarrel style

  • @xxXXHektorXXxx You don't have to stick with the original style, otherwise it would get boring...

  • this one is my favorite

  • indiana jones

  • yes considribelly this is the best gun barrel LOL

  • Connery maybe classic ones, but at gunbarrel scenes, what I really admired is Brosnan's (further from Tomorrow Never Dies).

  • I'm not hating on Craig Daniels, but I didn't like the new Bond movies as the previous ones. Gunbarrel sequence was pretty cool (Still prefer the older ones though) but why did they put it 6 or 7 minutes into the movie? Just put it at the beginning like normal!

I thought Sean Connery and Browman era was the best. I loved the gadgets, and Bond was more kick ass then!

  • @Anoush13 craig daniels? It's daniel craig

  • totally the best james bond opening sequence yet

  • So true. Sean Connery is the best, but the gunbarrel sequence looks pretty ridiculous in the 1st one. Dr. No

  • Well most people dunno that casino royale is the prequel.

  • Bond shot first.

    ;D

  • THAT'S where the gun barrel came from!

  • Too bad he didn't do the sequence as well as this in Quantum of Solace.

  • best gunbarrel sequence, best story/script, best Bond

  • Love it!

  • Yes... considerably.

  • Roger Moore made Bond a slapstick, campy dude. Moore was the worst by far.

Sean Connery faced off with SPECTRE, so that's classic. Not to mention he had all the charm.

Pierce kinda gave Bond a post-Cold War purpose. Goldeneye was a good one.

Dalton was good in The Living Daylights, but License to Kill was pretty lame.

Craig is perfect for the reboot.

  • can you do one with out bond

  • yes, considerably.....

  • Amazing how he managed to get the bullet RIGHT down the barrel of the other guy's gun, simply amazing.

but seriously, this is the best one EVER!!!!!!

  • what a great variation on the original gun barrel opening, thanks for posting.

  • Craig and Lazenby rules!!!!!

  • Mt favorite Bond is Sean Connery.

  • he isnt THE james bond even yet.

  • personally i think this is the best gunbarrel sequence

  • I can second that Asek92. I think this was actually supposed to be the first James Bond film. Dr. No is but I think this is like a prequel.

  • IanLoewen: Casino Royale was the first Bond book by Ian Fleming so it does play like the origin story.

  • I think that daniel craig is a really good bond, but not as it was meant to be, since he doesnt really use gadgets, so my favorite is pierce brosnan, but still craig rocks

  • i had a shaking orgasm the first time is saw this. good thing they called it casino royal, being the first bond novel written in 1952 and all

  • i thought it was very cool because i didn't see that gunbarrel even coming.

  • i don't know who's the best bond is ???

    But i love James bond

  • Spot on! That's exactly how I feel.

  • Gotcha there.

  • My favourite gun-barrel! Brilliant! Brilliant movie!

  • yes, cosidiribley

  • @DontheBon Not to be rude, but it's hilarious if you think about the subtitles saying that. LMAO

  • @DontheBon BA~NG

  • Bestest gun barrel scene I have ever seen! I loved the blood. This was the first Jame Bond Movies I have seen and when I saw the other gunbarrel scenes I was like"Wow, that's nothing compared to Casino Royale"

  • i love the gunbarrel thing its so cool

  • the behind the barrel is the one about to shoot bond

  • So that is who is behind the gun barrel. I have been wondering about that for a long time.

  • hahaha i hope mel brooks makes more

  • "Sir, I lost the bleeps, I lost the sweeps and I lost the creeps!"

HAHAHA! Spaceballs is such a classic!

  • they should have replaced the blood in this one with the blood sequence from solace.

  • I like Chris Cornell's theme, but mabey they should have put the James Bond theme in the opening like in Dr. No. But the 1967 Casino Royale theme song actually fits in the opening too!

  • I hated the blood here. It was very Jelly-like

  • hmmm i like the music but i like the old way better than this one

  • i think the new style is to do it fast..

the quantum version had the original type of blood spewing down the gun barrel. The casino Royale gun barrel looked so much better, with like real blood.

  • i like the sound of tha gun going off

  • This is the complete opposite of all the other gunbarrels

  • best one by far

  • So any word if there going back to the traditional opening gunbarrel style or something like this for Quantum???

  • It's not been confirmed but suggested at least

  • It's been confirmed that it's been changed to the traditional one now.

  • The gunbarrel sequence in Quantum was nowhere as good as this one.

  • yea its kinda cheesy how it shows the gun barrel in the Q of Quantum...

  • mmm apparently it was to show that the new bond era has "officially" begun. the casino royale gun barrel scene was crude, better but crude. now that bond is going to start behave, his intros will now match his attitude as he was raw in casino... casino royale = BEST gun barrel ever.

  • @drno62 By who?

  • @drno62 Thank god.

  • @drno62 Now for Bond 23 they need to put it at the beginning of the damn movie.

  • @drno62 - That's a shame. It would have been great if they'd integrated the gunbarrel sequence into the opening scene, like they did with this one.

  • @drno62 It sure wasn't confirmed that it would be at the END!

  • They probably will go back to the main theme/style in Quantum. Casino Royale was different because he had not yet become the "Bond" that we know today.

  • i hope he does another intro then does the tradition gunbarral style only using the new gun barral (the 0's go to the left, then the gunbarral comes he shoots and then zooms out)- this next movie is about how evil young vengful bond becomes normal bond...

  • I like how they put the Gun-Barrel intro into context. Makes a bit more sense now, haha.

  • This sequence gives me the chills every time I see it:)

Can't wait for Quantum of Solace!

  • Daniel Craig is great as Bond, IMO - he's got that cold and serious attitude that I expect in James Bond. :D

  • I can't believe this movie was made in 2006, it feels a lot like something from the 60s.

  • yeah , it was good,

i hope in the new one they have the bond theme in it.

  • Should have played the bond theme, not the opening bars of the title song. Or incorporated the theme into the beginning of the song.

  • The whole point of the music in Casino Royale, was to NOT use the Bond theme but just imply it. They kept the theme until the very end where he says "Bond, James Bond."

  • Thunderball was in a differernt aspect ratio, so they re-shot the gun barrel sequence with Sean Connery. Previously it had been Bob Simmons.

  • Hello ! Can you post me this video please !

  • i hope they go back to normal in quantum of solace

  • Crig is a much better Bond then Brosmann.

Brosman had to much a 'perfect american husband' image to me...

  • Agree 100%.

  • Yes, considering it is not him. He did not do the actual gun sequence, for most, or all. Correct me if I am wrong, don't flame me.

  • Yes, he didn't do it for the first 3 movies but he did for the rest.

  • Yeah that's why it seems to get better, at least in my mind. Thanks for not flaming like the majority of people do on Youtube immediately.

  • You've got to love bond. Can't wait for the next one.

  • If you think about it, this is the most sensical barrel scene out of the lot; why would someone aim so long at an enemy, watching them walk in a straight and not shoot, even a sniper wouldn't take so long. This one makes sense as its a fast reaction, dying man on the floor takes aim with his last ounce of life, bond reacts in time , bam! music kicks in perfectly for the films intro. In fact, this is my favorite! :)

  • You've got to look at it from a continuity point of view. MGM/Sony logo - Fades out - Excellent modern james bond theme fades in with the traditional gunbarrel sequence, add a different touch or two to it but nothing too different bam! gunshot, blood, fade out to reveal black and white setting, however, I can understand why they'd change it because it was 007's first kill.

  • Makes plenty of sense for this scene being like this.

    I like it. Epic Post!

  • yeah.. true

  • bt that gun barrel sequence will never be repeated in the next movies and so on cuz its a commemorative for the 20th of bond films

  • Also the Casino Royale gun barrel sequence will not be repeated in the next movies, given that the whole point of this gun barrel was the first Bond kill

  • i'm thinking they'll give craig an original gunbarrel for the rest of his movies.

  • Cool, but I still prefer the way the others were done like the pierce brosnan ones.

  • I agree about it being sped up. They could have made it a bit slower and less rushed...I mean, it is an iconic image after all...Great film though. Have no idea wjat the're gonna do for the next one.....

  • The next one is called Quantum of Solace and is a direct sequel to Casino Royale.

  • See i think that will be bad because most bond movies dont have the same spin of of the last.

  • I disagree, i think casino royale was the first Bond movie to have a storyline with real depth. So much so that it needed a sequel as there where so many questions unanswered and characters to be explored; importantly bond- after having his heart broken i'd like to see the edge it add to his mentality.

  • is it just me or does this seems sped up the tiniest bit

  • the gunbarrel does not matter wether it's a glock or P99 because there is no such pistol in extistance

  • The gun in question that you see at the beginning of the clip is not a glock- its a walther P99 silenced.

  • You're a moron.

  • This is the first gun barrel sequence where you ever actually see the guy who Bond shoots!

  • ??? It's never Bond's gun that's seen through, so it doesn't matter whether it's a glock or not.

  • ITS GOOD ONLY THE BLOOD LOOKS FAKE

  • it always does, doesn't it?

  • Love The Song Him And The Gunbarrel

  • You're right! It looks like "oh gawd we got jammed" from Spaceballs!

  • LMAO UR RIGHT!!!! "Rassberry! Theres only one man who would give me the rassberry! LONESTAR!"

  • 2 things: it doesn't matter if he ever used a glock, it's not his gun - and this is a much better gun barrel scene as it gives a a context for a rather ridiculus opener otherwise and atleast he looks tough as connery looked to be jumping, also the "blood" is finally more "realistic"

  • the classic gunbarrel is coming back in the next bond movie. They made an exception in this one, because is the introduction or the beginning of the character of James Bond 007.

  • was a bit surprised when i first saw this, but i like what they've done with it. and it leads into such a great song.

  • I agree

  • i'm so glad that they changed the gunbarrel scene. The old ones is getting so boring

  • but they're gonna bring it back:P

  • i know, that's what's really sucks

  • Because God Himself is the one there, Brosnan FTW!

  • why do all the new gunbarrels have to be higher pitched? 1 star

  • I've been thinking the same thing. Almost everyone that post a Bond gunbarrel can't get the pitch right. If your not going to get the pitch right, then don't post the video (although, I was watching a special feature on the Casino Royale DVD, and at one point, they play little bit of "You Know My Name" at about the pitch in this video).

  • For some reason the pitch is higher on the English version

  • If you want me to I'll send you a fullscreen version with the pitch altered.

  • Best gun barrel scene ever.
