  • What a rain.

    Nice Video.

  • Build Man-Made Reservoirs around flood-prone areas or low lands with drainage systems might help control floods.

  • would have been a proper architectural engineering plan to work with water irrigration system of governmental housing plan ....plus the ministry on interior works together before this happen ,,,actually flooding has been long prolem evesince in thailand......that is thailand less it affects them then its time to think to SOLVE IT.. AMAZING.....their laws are jut implemented at latest century only...

  • If my friends in Soi 22 Pharmacy are reading this, I hope you are well and many of your Tokyo friends wish you the best.

  • Press like if you thought this was about teh current flood in BKK

  • @strykerb

Haha, well I have noticed my subscription and views have leapt up recently, and I knew this was why!

I can't help it if people aren't that observant. ;P

The point still stands though, this problem is not new and unfortunately as such could have been prepared for a lot more effectively.

  • Is this really happening on Soi 22? So the tourism in Bangkok is dead due to this?

  • @mraquinas

If you'll note the upload date, I took this 2 and a half years ago and that was just during heavy rain!

The drainage has been a problem here for years, drastic measures must be taken to improve it and the recent floods are bringing home truths about both that problem and water management in general...

Tourism is definitely not dead...it's just a little hard to get around. The major destinations that most people come here for (Chiang Mai, Phuket, Koh Samui, etc.) are all dry.

  • @mraquinas

Oh and I haven't been down 22 lately but I'm sure scenes such as this have been pretty common lately...

  • @mraquinas Will be in Sukhumvit Sheraton Grande next week for couple of days and I hope the current bangkok flood wont be as bad .... and hoping that some of the touristic spots are still well maintained and operational....

  • @mraquinas try kingkloa resteraunt 5o metres from were this video was taken,,,great food good prices

say hi to joy,,,,,,,,enjoy your trip,,,,,,soi yee sip song will be back and thriving,,i hear its pretty bad right now though...god bless thailand

  • @ikingofmen will definitely try Kingkloa and hopefully that it will stay dry in the next couple of weeks...

  • Certain parts of Bangkok are just like Venice in Italy, they're sinking

  • Yeah the girl on that bike knows me and my girlfriend, funny coincidence hey?

  • No shit that looks hell fun. Those people on the scooter r funny as with their umbrella up lol. R u going to go scuba diving?

  • It has stopped raining for about 2 hours now and it's still flooded! I wonder how long it will take to drain away...

  • Hey Glock,
