  • Is it just me, or does it look like the alien is trying to blow himself?

  • "For most of the film's scenes the Alien was portrayed by Bolaji Badejo, a Nigerian design student. A latex costume was specifically made to fit Badejo's 7-foot-2-inch (218 cm) slender frame, made by taking a full-body plaster cast of him."

  • I keep hearing "woo-wo-wo-wo-wo-wo-wooo" as it crabwalks for some reason.

  • This scene might have worked if he was hanging from the ceiling instead.

  • Looking for a terrifying alien menace to slaughter a crew of helpless humans? Why not Zoidberg?

  • the audio was muted because you could have heard the director.

Scott: Hey pssht!..you in the suit, you 'll have to sit infront of her,not like 10 feet away goddammit.

Alien: Oh shit, ill start over.

Scott: We cant we have schedule for gods sake, just go and sit over there.

Alien: Ah! I cant the suit is to tight.

Scott: Well crawl over there for christ!

Alien: Oenf, my ass.. that hurts,ok i rise very slowly and scary...

Scott: I am deffinitly not going to direct the sequel...

  • @LifterC3 one of the funniest fuckin things i've ever read on youtube. i can just hear ridley saying those exact things XD

  • primitive

  • This footage could have added quite a bit to the film with some heavy editing, in my opinion - the very end of the sequence (where it stands up) gives you some sense of the enormous scale of the alien, which isn't well conveyed during the movie, and captures a tremendous sense of eerie threat.

And the start of the scene, with the tail reaching towards Lambert, could have worked for establishing the situation.

The crab shuffle, though... yeah, definitely not needed.

  • @CountVertigo i have absolutely your opinion! i perfectly agree. just cut the crabwalk out, and this is excellent. it would add extremely much to the atmosphere. mr. ridley scott, if you read this, plz reinsert this scene.

@patjng02: why is the video with sound deleted? i would like to see it with sound please.

  • the weapon of the alien: his big penis

  • yep, somebody got raped

  • My question is how she doesn't notice until its tail curls out

  • lambert is too sexy

  • Damn i have the Alien special 20 anniversary edition (DVD) and don't have that scene :s

  • They should have kept in the alien watching her and the tail moving, that sent chills up my spine. It added to the eeriness of the creature. However, that was quickly destroyed when it did the crab walk, as all that did is make it look like what it was; a man in a monster suit.

  • @Silme037 That's the wisest comment yet, Silme. +1's to you.

  • @portzblitz lol thanks :)

  • I kind of imagined Zoidberg's WOOPWOOPWOOP.

  • I started laughing when he did the walk. That's not a good sign is it :P

  • People kvetch about the use of CGI, but this scene shows why a lot of practical effects of this era were always covered in KY jelly and hidden 75% of the way in the shadows.

  • I find it eerie but I am glad they cut it. But I think the tail movement is fantastic at the start.

  • I can see why they cut this. It looks exactly like what it is. A man in a monster suit.

  • Surprisingly, Lambert wasn't killed like Parker she was raped. Cause the Alien inherited his host desire for her.

  • @codafett what? how does he rape her? with the tail?

  • @mdtwiztid I don't want to know.

  • way too loud

  • why in the hell would a Alien do like some retarded arm and foot walk

thank goodness they cut it it would have ruended the movie

  • I'm sorry but i can't stop laughing. xD This is hilarious. the 'walk' is so stupid and the alien in the end looks like he wants a hug! lmao I'm sooo glad they decided to scrap this.

  • why doesn't she RUN!!!??

  • delete the crab walk and the scene is just fine

  • some ppl say it looks childish how the aliens is moving at the beginning, but i think that´s really creepy: it shows how different it is from us humans. in spite it has 2 legs, 2 arms & 1 head (like humans), it is an instinct-based (yet intelligent), deadly creature. something like an adaptive, intelligent animal.

such a creature approaching you and no back door to escape - prepare to meet your god.

  • No Dee I purchased the gun from an auction in L.A. in the late 1990s.I have the studio provenance if you wish to buy it.

I don't want it anymore....its pretty cool, really. It was the one Mr. Koto used and he lives about 2 miles from me in Ontario.Shops at the same market I do with his asian maid....super tall man and super nice.

  • I can see why they omitted this. Respect to Badejo for his role but that particular bit of movement just does not work. They hadn't quite nailed it's more serpentine/insectoid movement yet.

  • WTF

  • You cant play fetch with a xenomorph

  • @manystar Excuse me sir, a what?

  • @mdcraig62 Fetch...is when you trow a ball or a stick in order to make your dog retrive it

  • @manystar Swing and a miss.

Gorman: "A xenomorph:" Hicks: "It's a bug hunt..."

  • @mdcraig62 :)

  • I used to think the crab walk was silly but if it was done right it could have been a really creepy scene

  • Parker was right. That thing is HUGE (guy plaing the Alien was supposedly a 2.18 m basketball player)

  • ...Did that xenomorph want Snu Snu?

  • @BlackSabbath628 Smile. Frown. Smile Frown. Frown. Frown. Smile. Frown. Smile...

  • Kinda creepy when it stands up. o.o

  • I chuckled at the crab walk the first time...but that's just what the alien wants :O Hehe. Creepy scene; shows the alien is intelligent enough to be disarming. When it rises from it's submissive, childish posture and towers over her...eek

  • all he wants is a HUG X3

  • i think sometimes in horror less is more

i prefer the final edit of this scene, because we see the shadow of the alien approaching before we see it: makes it fucking creepy

  • ggreat films shame avp went and fucked em all up

  • awwww it wants a hug with lambert at the last part

  • Holy jesus, that alien is tall as fuck...

As for me, I kind of like this scene. I actually like the idea of the alien standing on two legs, rather than crawling, because when it stands, you can really see how big the alien really is.

  • @Epikkfailyurr slender man scared of that bastered

  • There are still people who say there are no sexual metaphors in alien.

  • @grendelee The Aliens are penises. That is all for now.

  • I'm glad this was deleted

  • The alien is supposed to be 9 foot tall like Ripley specified in Alien 3. This guy was over 7 1/2 feet and let's his alien head measured a foot. He would be 8 to 8 1/2 feet tall which is pretty close. The Predator measures 8 feet fully matured. You can see the alien taller in the AVP movies.

  • The terror in the Lambert death is all in the audio and not knowing whats happening. This is just kind of goofy.

  • awww that was so cute :)

  • looks like it wants to give her a hug

  • Was this the Alien's first victim

  • I don't know, if done correctly that "crab-walk" could've been pretty terrifying.

  • @SoraWTK "If done correctly", perhaps. But it wasn't, and this scene is laughably bad, friend.

  • @sakazakijin True. This scene just made me tilt my head and kind of go "huh?"

  • This would be so much better in CGI...maybe. It was implied that she was essentialy sodomized by the beast an then ripped inhalf. This is why they don't show the body...but yeah, too human

  • wow - wayyyyyy too human in its movements. good work excising that scene.

  • @diemythtruth the scene that replaced this in the film still had a moment where you can actually see the alien running up behind Lambert. You can clearly tell it's a man in a suit, I thought it was Parker at first

  • This scene would have destroyed the movie for me!

  • @tomme25 i think part of that was actualy used in the movie, but from another angle. (the end bit when the alien is standing up slowly)

  • Why was the alien just hangimg around??????

  • @commando377 It show some intelliance. It was curious at what Lambert was doing. Then realizing she had no weapon and scared, it attacked her.

  • Cracked sucks.

    deal with it.

  • Cracked led me here!

  • cool to see this but it was a good decision leaving it out

  • This destroys the image we had of how big we thought the Alien was. It appeared to me that the Alien would be over 10ft in height and just bigger in general. This scene just shows a tall guy over 6ft in a rubber suit-which, in actuality, is.

  • Suddenly....Rape

  • The silence compliments the scene.

  • Alien just needs a hug.

  • The alien looking up is pretty creepy, but the crab-walking and standing up part are not.

  • "So...uh...sup brah"

  • "Mmmm, garbage."

  • I can dance better

  • I can see why this got the axe. It makes the alien look like a breakdancer in a rubber suit.

  • @RedBandMagic02 Haha, my thoughts exactly! It looked far too much like someone's clearly in an Alien suit and is just fucking with her, I just laughed.

  • Comment removed

  • Giant enemy crab!!! Attack its weak point for massive damage!

  • ummmmm if the aliens could talk.... i think i would just start laughing

  • Alien:"Uh. Mmmm. This isn't going to work you're too far away. Hold on...just let me scoot a little... closer.... There! Perfect! :3"

  • Comment removed

  • "IS THAT YOUR TAIL OR ARE YOU JUST HAPPY TO SEE ME?"

  • Looks like someone just finished taking a shit

  • Well the audience would have shit their pants if that scene was included. But from laughing rather than fear.

  • This is very nearly awesome but ends up looking silly. Pretty scary when he stands up though.

  • WHAT THE FUCK?!

  • Cracked sent me here

  • @WickerMahn Fuck you.

  • @braquemar lol u mad?

  • I am no longer scared by the alien

  • If they had made the crabwalk more less human and more animal-like, it might have been able to work, but as it is it reminds you way too much that it's just a guy in a suit.

  • Everything before and after the stupid stupid crab walk are actually pretty creepy.

  • Those movements are way too humanish.

  • HAAHAHAHAHAAHA!

  • Lebron James is in that suit.

  • is it... going to give her a hug?

  • no

  • The crab walk really does destroy the tension and mystique of the movie, it becomed painfully obvious that yes, yes indeed, it's just some poor underpaid intern in a rubber suit.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrBucks1997 Fuck you.

  • Woah! Thankfully this scene wasn't included. It is so horribly stupid.

  • Despite what bullshit cracked tells, I'd say this scene really shows what's so scary about the alien:

It doesn't give a fuck. Look at every scene where it kills anyone.

In one scene it just hangs around, chilling. Then decides "oh, there's food" and kills someone.

In the vent scene, the alien appears and does the playful "boo!" gesture like it's actually an old friend.

And I heard it was originally supposed to talk at the end... Which would've made the movie 100% more terrifying.

  • @vb4You No....just no your making me laugh. I hope ur a troll

  • @okano186

    I'm not.

Look at the scene towards the end. With the flashing lights.

When the Alien appears, it seems like it was taking a nap on the ground and is now looking for someone else to fuck with.

I thought the movie was scary when I first saw it. But then I noticed the Alien's attitude and now I think it's even scarier. It kills everyone because it's bored.

Though without the context of the movie, it's kind of awesome.

  • @vb4You I see what you mean, but I think it wouldve ruined the atmosphere and the believability of the Alien imo if they left the crab walk scene cos the movement and everything about it shouts-'man in an alien costume!' and the talking Alien idea just sounds cheesy.

  • @vb4You Talking ? Fuck.

  • @gnrcr

To be exact, it was supposed to kill Ripley and then make a distress call in her voice.

  • @vb4You Now I'm gonna throw up.

  • @vb4You

Well, I laughed when I first saw this scene in the special features, and I can see why they cut it out. And if the alien talked, it would've made this scary movie into something cheesy. Would Halloween (The original) be scarier if Michael Myers said "I must kill you" before every stabbing? No, it would just destroy the silent anonymity that made Myers scary. And that's how the alien is, a silent, anonymous killing machine that shouldn't crabwalk.

  • @vb4You well im so glad you didn't make the movie, would have turned it into a cheesy shitstorm with talking crab walking aliens playing peek a boo

  • @vb4You Apparently the original ending was gonna be that the alien kills Ripley and then uses her voice to send a transmission back home/base.

I love this scene, it's so scary, but that's only because there's no sound.

  • @vb4You Who knows. But I wanted to point out something. This is scene is spooky looking at the pace of how it stands up.

  • @vb4You If the Alien talked I'm guessing at approximately 0:37 the Alien would of said...

    "Sup Playa"

  • @vb4You Xenomorph talking? Holy shit that would be scary, where did you hear that?

  • @vb4You Having the alien talk? What accent would it have?

  • @RedJoe10 It would talk in Ripley's voice.

  • @vb4You Oh like you mean it would mimic her? Creepy.

  • @vb4You Hm, Prometheus.....probably a pipe dream though....

  • @vb4You dude i think if it talked it would be stupid. i get the alien copies many things from its hosts but talking is too much

  • @vb4You It was supposed to bite off ripley's head and send a distress call to earth in her voice.

  • @RXdash78 Yeah, I read the same thing.

Do you maybe know the source? I unfortunately don't remember.

  • @vb4You like swarzneger was going to give it the voice... it would have go: i'll be back....

  • Cracked...

  • What exactly was this taken from? Was it the making of alien?

  • I love it except for the crab walk, kinda silly. The rest of it kicks ass. They should have had the scene where the aliens tail starts moving and it standing up next to her becuase it shows how tall the thing is and makes the alien and the scene alot more creepy.

  • Hahahhaahahahaha! :D

    DAT WALK

  • i like how the aliens take there arse time , making it way scarier for the victim . I know for sure if i was in her situation i would have died from a heart attack caused by pure fear which triggers a heart attack

  • @noirkitten

I think you hit the nail on the head for this scene.

  • Wow, she had a long time to get away...

  • XD!!!

  • wow thank god that scene was scraped

  • @1974JJP, lmao

  • not scary. glad they deleted it. it shows waaaaay too much for too long. I'm sure they would have edited it in better, but ultimately, less is more.

  • i laughed at 0:38, haha , the thing needs braces, it looks like it had a overbite.

  • maybe the crab is the aliens way of exercising. btw, just tried that shit, burns the triceps pretty good.

  • Hey everyone, can someone answer this question, I have seen the Alien film but I didnt really understand it.

    1. Why is the alien leaning down in the corner of the room for a while

    2. Why does the alien "crab walk" towards her instead of just getting up and walking?

    3. Whats all this I have heard about the Alien raping her?

  • @joeydestroyer In the original cut, all we see is the tail rising up between her legs and then her face screaming

  • @weldonwin What creeps me out is that when Ripley sees what the alien has done to Lambert and Parker, it looks like Lambert has been raped.

  • @MrUndersolo

Lambert did get raped. I was watching how they designed the creature and one of the personel explained what happened. How's that for losing you virginity?

  • @Coolkid1001000 I also heard on the special edition that in the original script, Lambert is so terrified that she crawled to a locker when Ripley found her that she had a heart attack and died (not so convincing). The film is proof that the best horror is what you cannot see (still have Lambert's screams in my head as Ripley overhears the attack).

  • STOP THAT CRAB WALKING, YOU CREEPY FUCKER, IT'S DISTURBING THE SHIT OUT OF ME.

  • 0:38 :D

  • @pranker121 lol

  • I see why they cut it out...

  • They could have kept this scene. Have the sitting and staring, have the moving. And then just show Lambert's expression when as we see the alien shadow rise up.

  • worse scene in the series

  • i love how he's sitting there like he was crying

  • I bet the guy playing the alien must be very hot in that suit.

  • when it started crab walking and standing up i just imagined him goin:

    "BOM CHICKA BOW WOW!!!"

  • a good clip but I can see why it was not encluded. I remember seeing an interview with R Scott saying that his ethos about the Alien was never to show the whole crearure, only a limb here, the head there and even these in strange acts of body language.

  • Good Dogy ...

  • Alien: hey!...u hit me with a can u bytch.....*crab walk of death*

  • i just wanted to know HOW it killed lambert? did it impale her in the va jay jay???XD

  • The tail thing is cool. The walk and stand up is shite.

  • That crab walk thing really didn't fit

  • Mixed feelings. Sitting there doing nothing, just looking at her, was freaky. Slowly moving towards her was chilling. But when it stood up, yeah, " guy in a suit ". A bit too Predator ( intelligent and evolved ).

  • THANK GOD THEY CUT THIS OUT!!!! This scene is not in the Special Edition, luckly

  • THANK GOD THEY CUT THIS OUT!!!!

  • Nah don't like it. Guy in a suit.

  • i like this scene, the lien has a weird look about it that makes it more twisted, more scary... I don't like the way the alien looks in the fourth film, too cliche, to "bug like". the alien is a parody of human, that's why its better in this version, with uman like feet and hands.

  • i did like how it was sitting there stairing at its prey with curosity but when it did the crab walk that was way too human like, i am also glad they deleted the scene.

  • Think it was funny, the alien is just sitting there like a little kid watching his mom pack as the cannisters are rolling into him " so where ya going? can i come too?"
