  • The thing is, Lite Bright didn't need to have licensed characters to establish its' identity. Nowadays it's all licensed corporate bullcrap. Not everything has to have Tow-Mater or Barbie all over it!

  • I loved this toy! I used to have one when I was like five.

  • I remember my big sister used to have one and I always played with it, it pissed her off. I loved that thing!

  • Wow memories lol!

  • I loved this even though for some reason, I could never form my own pictures...I had to use the templetes all the time..:(..I was an artistically challenged child.

  • I burnt my hand on my light bright as a kid...Don't touch the lightbulb kids!

  • I loved it because of the colors :D

  • FUCKING BULLSHIT TOY.

    Lego's were better.

  • I think they should still sell Lite Brites. it's not like kids would know any different anyways.

  • Ahh, that was a fun toy... *Sighs*

  • I still got this in the same box didn't have the refills though : (

  • LOL! I never forgot about "lite brite" in the early 90's. I received mine on Christmas back in 1997.

  • Do they have the Light Bright game on computer?

I think that would be easier to use than the old paint program sometimes.

On second thought, alot of the old games would be just as fun to play if they were on the computer played against an AI.

I'd rather buy THAT, than those stupid 100,000 games collections, 8/10 are always copies.

  • This was my favorite toy when I was 7. I used to play this in my room at night. Memories...

  • I'm 25 and still have my Lite Brite :-)

  • I can remember burning my hand on the lightbulb once when I tried taking it apart. I guess its a hard way to learn incandescent bulbs burn HOT.

  • i miss these i lost all the stick things :(

  • moootthherrrrfucckiinnn...LITE BRITE!!

  • I ate some lite bright pegs when I was a baby. My parents had to go through my poop to make sure they passed : 3

  • This is the one I remember! Good times!

  • I always wanted to take mine apart. That lightbulb was hot.

  • I burnt my hand on my lite brite lol.

  • loved this toy when i was younger along with the blue squishy stuff that when you pressed it pink would appear and youd have a roller to erase it, that was amazing, i miss childhood where the biggest frusteration was when these lights would fall out of the tray thing and youd have to put it back in so carefully without knocking out any others;

  • i wonder what happened to my lite brite!!!!

  • @cubsbaby86 Why did I ever give mines away? Even in my 30's I should be still using it.

  • @coyote374 I think I gave mine away...or got lost in a move, or it got thrown out on accident?? something happened to it??? IDK??

  • 10 years later, kids beat each other because of video games.

  • they need more toys like those .-.

  • This was one of the MANY toys I had, as a kid. Thinking back....I have tons of great memories, playing with Lite Brite, Spirograph, Cherry Merry Muffin dolls, Perfection, etc. It was a time I wish I could re-live. *sigh*

  • This was the best toy ever...until you got the blisters on your fingers...and severe burns on your palms from being dumb enough to touch the outside part.

  • Those were the days! I miss the 90s...and being a kid :(

  • I will remember this song forever...have for the last 22yrs

  • Now this was a real toy!

  • I used to have a lite bright. It was alright I guess but man was it a bitch to remove all those pieces.

  • OMG I LOVED LITE BRITE!!!

  • i love light brite aww the good days the 80s were the best time to be a kid now a days all kids do is go online and use their cellphones

  • Man those were the days back then. 1990's phew you had it all. Stretch Armstrong, Pogs, The Incredible Crash Dummies, Mighty Max. And many more now its all about XBOX, PS3, and the internet. Hard to believe it's almost 2010. Where did this decade go to?

  • I couldn't agree more.

I used to love Lite Brite as a kid.

  • @costa19871 thank god i was born in the 90's

  • @costa19871 A game console is not a children's toy. Stop thinking like its the 1970s.

  • @costa19871 hey retard. that's like saying 'we used to have pizza and now we have desks' compare toys to toys, and videogames to videogames.

  • i remember when my big sister was seven she eate the pegs too!!!!

  • I had a lite brite as a kid. I miss those days :(

  • I am 26 years of age, and a man, but lately, I have an urge to get a vintage Lite Brite on ebay and put together a picture. Haha.

  • I was Electrocuted by a Lite Bright when i was little lol.

  • Oh shit me too!!!!

  • Now they have flat screen lite brite. I feel so old.

  • Pause at 12 seconds...looks like they needed one more light to compete the Happy Birthday sign...look at the D in Day...

  • That always bothered me as a child.

  • iLove The 90's..Don't You???

  • ah man!! I remember these!! lol! I begged my daddy to buy me one! I only used it once...my fingers hurt and i was easil bored! :( I wish i had one now...and an easy bake oven would be cool but i really should learn to cook now...im 15!

darn! I used to also have the recipe for bubble gum!! I used to sell t on the playground at school! LOL!

  • lmfao i remmeber this commericial.

  • omg this is so fun! but the paper ran out fast... and ur fingers hurt fast

  • I use to have that, the fucking lamp was so bright and hot. Plus those thousands of little color tacks where horrible to pick up!

  • .... HATE IT T.t lost the parts

  • I LOVED THAT GAME!

Only thing that sucked was it made your fingers hurt after 5 mins of popping them in the holes

  • i have my lite brite..

    i only used it once..

cuz i didnt wanted to destroy the pictures haha..

  • If you lost 1, you never found it. I lost most of mine ): I still want mine back!

  • I had one but lost most of the pieces,

    I still want one and i'm 15..... <.<

    LOL

  • They still make them. Your best bet would be a store like Hobby Lobby.

  • Really? I got my Light Bright back in 1982 at the age of 5, and all but forgotten about it until seeing all this stuff on here!

  • this was the shit but living in the ghetto sucked ass a guy died trying to steal a light bright in my neighborhood :( never told anyone i had one

  • LITE BRITE FTW!!!

  • This game was peaceful as Perfection was terifying

  • It's not really a game, but okay lol

  • OHHH MY GOD. I just got goosebumps watchin this video!, i totally forgot about this shyt hahaha

  • Gosh! I always wanted one of those!!

I still can recall when I watched that commercial... I was like 6, perhaps? now im almost 18, and smiled while watching it again XD

  • Man this commercial use to make me wanna go to SLEEP it wasn't boring, but damn how they were sining the song made me feel sleepy.

  • yea it was like bed time music

  • Hands down..greatest friggen toy as a kid.

  • OMG!!!! I had one until it burned out.

  • omg i loved my lite bright! back in the 80s we had just about every toy that came out.

  • lol I found mine when I was 6 by the pond with a Campbell's Soup Puzzle and some other Campbell's Soup stuff, and a Muppets lunchbox

  • I still wanna eat those tiny plastic lightbulbs.

  • I thought the pegs were candy... xD

  • Man, such a shame this was one of our few forms of entertainment back in the day.. Memories none the less though..

  • holy crap i had one but i really don't know what happened to it i think my mom threw it away

  • I remember that commercial. The problem with Light Brite is that once you puncture the holes in the sheets with letters, you can't use it again once you remove it. I guess I should suggest making photocopies of them first.

  • i loved my light brite. I had it for soooo many years.

  • ahh fiber optics

  • omg i used to have this it was cool, sometimes would poke at the paper lol

  • i wanted one of those when i was a kid... my mom never got it for me...

  • uh 80s

  • o wow i had this when i was little...

  • for some reason this commercial scared me

  • This is one of those hippy toys that was actually kind of cool.

  • it was so annoying when you ran out of one color!

  • @antidense lol, yeah, guess that's the good thing about having computers, there's virtual Lite Brite, and virtual LEGO, so you can never run out of pieces, and there's no mess :-)

tho there was something special about ACTUALLY using the Lite Brite, I think it was the bright colors themselves that I liked, not even the fact that I can make a picture, lol

  • What light bulb type do Lite Brites require, and how many?

  • The one I had used a 40 watt bulb... the same ones they use in ovens and fridges.

  • I dont know a single kid who had all the pieces of his lite brite

  • Me neither, but that didn't keep me from wanting one.

  • I always wanted one of those when i was little lol..

  • lol me too

and I got it for christmas!

    I was a stupid little fuck. =[

  • yes, yes you were. and probably still.

  • I love you too.

  • I couldn't afford lite-Brite. So my dad made one out of peg board, a light bulb and replacement pieces. I always thought the house was going to catch fire.

  • SHIT! i used to luv playing with this when i was little but then i lost it... it was so fun playing whit these!

  • I had one of these...I think my mom took it away becuase my little sister started eating the peices..

  • I had this but I lost all my pieces lmao

  • Lite Brite was the SHIT at one point!!!!

  • Like kids that had the big 64 pack of crayons. If you didn't have it,you wern't cool.

  • I had the like 90something pack of crayons...with the sharpener in the back. It was SWEET.

  • We had a Lite Bright. We also had the refill sheets with Muppet Babies faces. I loved those.

  • I never owned a Lite Brite, but I had tons of fun playing with the one at my preschool back in the day.

  • I even remember the jingle! WOW...I loved Lite Brite. Now they're afaid kids will swallow the pieces! I mean yeah if they're babies! COME ON! Kids are so horribly protected and spoiled rotten these days.

  • lol yea seems like it

  • WTF HAPPENED TO MY LITE BRITE?! this was good shit haha.

  • dude i played with this everyday when i was a kid. but i almost never finished a whole page.

  • natw retro

  • Fuck yeah!!

    loved the lite-bright!!!

  • I remembered this song even before I played the clip.. haha

  • I still have mine

  • omg, this takes me back.......i remember getting one of those for my b-day when i was a kid...i almost pissed myself with happiness XD.

  • i still got mine...i was so damn happy when i got it lol

  • I had one!!

  • lite brite was it man... there was nothing out there that could touch this power of LITE BRITE!

i wonder what happened to mine?

  • I remember that song, and I wanted that for xmas, but never got it. :(

  • Light Bright Light Bright...The crappiest gift I ever got in my life...

  • I got this when i was a kid but i was so uncreative i couldnt make anything that didnt look stupid

  • Ah, this is the version I remember.

  • I always wanted one of those.

  • I had that! i left it in the sun and the batteries exploded. that was the end of that

  • Darn, I had that toy for the longest time! I think it was one of the most useless toys ever created. A bunch of plastic pieces that lit up, YAAAY! Lol.

  • My favorite color pegs were purple, What was evry one ele's favorite color?

  • Pink. Don't know why. Maybe it had something to do with my love of strawberries.

  • I didn't really have a favorite color on Lite Brite, those colors are too pastel for my taste.

And I never could get my Lite Brite machine at home to work, but I always enjoyed watching the ones light up in the commercials. :)

  • I had one of these.

  • I was never into lite brite, but the 70's commercial(s) would spark some fascinating nostalgia. Could somebody post it? Thanks.

  • Lite Brite was a toy that was big in the 70's and apparently had customers through the 90's. It was a light that you put black screens in front of. The screens had a lot of small holes, and you put different colored transparent pegs into the holes to form pictures.

  • what the hell IS lite brite, that told me nothing!

  • You've obviously all seen the Boston "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" bomb video...ya lol...Boston fuckers. GO YANKEES MOTHER FUCKA'S!!!

  • Boston = pwned

  • As seen in Boston!

  • 90's? I grew up in the 70's. I had one.

  • Its stupid. i'll leave it at that. why did you put this on anyway?

  • the evil that is the 80s returns to destroy the future. Atari characters from the moon have waged open war using litebrites. It would be funny if someone placed such an image on the moon for all of earth to see LOL "Prepare for a pride obliterating Bitch Slap"

  • Don't get one of these in Boston: AAAAGAgAgaGAHAGHH!! A BOMB OMFG AaAAaa!

  • Oh my God, some one call the bomb squad. think of the Chaos that could ensue if this technology falls into the wrong hands.

  • I remember this commercial and toy. I didn't really like the toy.

  • My sister used to have a light brite. I ruined it :P! And yes, I was only 4.

  • I had one of these when I was younger!
