how does a comment about the special olympics justify a horribly offensive racial slur? Idc if your disabled, it doesnt earn my sympathy, your just plain white trash
You really WOULD feel better if you admitted you were wrong to begin with. It's a matter of who you see in the mirror every morning. If you like it, fine. If not, change it.
So if Obama said he bowled like crap would we all get POed that he offended feces? He made a off hand remark about his bowling, BIG DEAL, grow up and stop all your whining, better yet go to the store and buy some simulac, you must be out!! Bunch of cry-babies!! Yes, I'm a disabled vet too thanks to the draft, I'm not offended.
I think you're right. There's millions of people like me, who through no fault of our own, are unable to live normal lives. To have a healthy person, mind and body intact, equate himself to us is an insult, whether it was intended as such or not. To make matters worse, all of a sudden the White House is portraying him as a champion for the Special Olympics. Uh huh. Damage control from a clueless President, nothing more. This isn't the change he promised.
It was merely a slip of the tongue. I also am disabled and an athlete but I am not sensitive enough to take great offense to such a mundane error. I have very high doubts that someone like Barack Obama would have any disdain for the disabled community. But each of us are different and you yourself may take more offense to this and that is fine, but I just see this simply an error of speech. It happens.
Agreed, unfortunately this will be a mere blip on the radar in the liberal media. I'm a pretty moderate guy but in all seriousness, how could anyone not concede that the media is a cesspool these days.
People must ask themselves "Which is the real Obama?", the pandering sycophant who promises everything to everyone, or the snide smug elitist who looks down on everyone.
The list of groups he has openly insulted now includes: the handicapped; mentally ill; elderly; rich; middle class; republicans; conservative democrats; joe biden; nancy reagan; veterans; businessmen; gun owners; religious people; to name a few.
Obama was comfortable with Jay, and so we got to see the mask off for a moment.

Jared20134...
EXACTLY what "Horribly Offensive Racial Slur" did I utter in this video?
I guess when the truth makes people like you squirm, you resort to muddying the waters with toxic irrelevancies.
Did ANYONE even get the point of this video? Hint: It has nothing to do with me or what I think about Obama.

in the video description, it says that n-word jokes are ok now

Learn to read Jared:
" I guess that "N-word" jokes are ok now?"
It's a rhetorical, sarcastic question. Get with the program, eh?
USAPatriot1 2 years ago
thats not what a rhetorical question is....
jared20134 2 years ago
So now we're going to argue semantics? You need to admit that you slandered me, that you misattributed my words and you need to apologize.
USAPatriot1 2 years ago
im sorry
jared20134 2 years ago
I appreciate the apology. It must have hurt. I guess admitting you were wrong to begin with would have hurt more, but...apology accepted.
USAPatriot1 2 years ago
I did not admit I was wrong, I apologized for offending you.
jared20134 2 years ago
I think that's what I said...the keys words are "would have hurt more"...recognizing that you were unwilling to admit that you're wrong.
USAPatriot1 2 years ago
This is a rather petty argument, don't you agree?

You keep on replying ;)

maybe disabled people are not "gifted" athletically or in other superficial ways but most have more character and courage than obama will ever have.

I think that it wasn't meant to hurt anyone...many people that I know that are handicapped really do not think it was a stab toward them

There does seem to be a bit of a double standard about who can say what. And how it's framed by the media makes all the difference.
