  • The poverty level exemption was already in the plan, as well as the "zones" having reductions to promote desperately needed growth in downtrodden areas.

The 999 plan is simply an intro to the Fair Tax System, which satisfies the 6 principles for a tax system that have been supported by several tax commissions, including one that Cain served on, the 1995 National Commission on Economic Growth and Tax Reform, chaired by former Vice-Presidential candidate and Congressman Jack Kemp. • After every debate, the commentators say how well Gingrich did, but then they discount him. Why??? At the end of this clip on YouTube, one of the lady analysts started making a point about Gingrich being the leader on the stage, but she got cut off. Stop being distracted by the media and learn more about why Gingrich is by far the best candidate. Gingrich 2012 !!!

  • Did anyone else notice how they really only focused on talking about romney, caine, and perry.

  • Are you serious! even after the guy with the lie/truth-o-meter segment showed how Cain was lying, they still say " Cain is going to going to have to sell it better to the American people" .. Really?. you want him to try and push 9-9-9 taxes increase on the american people, even after you said it was a lie? CNN, do you really think we are that stupid? Cmon!! " cain is the only one out there talking about topics others wont talk about" really lady?apples/oranges r not that great of a topic.GoRon!

  • Hey Journalists.... WHAT ABOUT RON PAUL??? Remember him, the guy with the best answers... Someone sent out a "DON'T TALK ABOUT RON PAUL" memo.

  • 999 reduces double*taxation. Income taxes are paid twice: once from payroll and once again when buying goods. They're only collected once. 999 eliminates gift, estate, capital gains, SS, and Medicare taxes and replaces them with a sales tax. The SS+Medicare portion alone accounts for 15.3% of payroll taxes. Two other income taxes are reduced to 9%. Most of the double taxation goes away with the reduction of these two taxes. Why should we pay the same taxes twice?

  • I ask, who is dumb enough to think any of these people actually care about them or will work for the citizens.

The democrats and republicans are all on the same side, NOT YOURS!

Sure they have different industries they are beholden too, but the goal is the same to create legislation that benefits certain groups and NONE of those groups are you.

Even if your industry got a subsidy or regulation break, your salary will stay the same and ALL the benefit will go into the pockets at the top.

  • This is a comment ONLY about Cains assertation that Wall Street did not create the failed economic policies...

YES THEY DID, its called lobbying. Not one tiny fraction of deregulation or financial policy would be enacted UNLESS they lobbied congress.

Cain's view on the Wall Street protests is myopic.

No policy just manifests, they are ALL brought to congress by concerned citizens or more likely lobbyists.

People don't create policy for no reason...

  • Oh snap, Ron Paul's name was mentioned for like half a second! Didn't expect that... but it's over. That's probably all that's going to be mentioned of Ron Paul =(.

  • Cain is Outsider?!!! He was chariman of FED. He is the ultimaazle insider!!!

  • Herman Cains comment "If you dont have a job, dont blame wall street----blame yourself" shows his true character. He tries to come off like a "Genteel older wise Black man",but he's not. He's a complete pawn of the banksters, and his former experience with the Fed proves beyond a doubt where his allegiance lies. He's only in the race as a token black candidate, and his job is to distract people from the real enemy here, which is the Fed. Ron Paul has OWNED his ass several times on this issue.

  • David Gergens analysis of Herman Cains "9-9-9-" is 100 % correct. All that plan would do is to redistribute the tax burden DOWN. A flat tax is regressive, and works against the poor, many of whom cant even make ends meet now!! and under this assinine "9-9-9" plan, poor people will not only get a new "Sales tax" to pay, they'll also be hit with a 9% income tax.The rich will get a huge tax break. And as far as the "Corporate flat tax? They'll just pass that on to the consumer."9-9-9"=3 NEW taxes.FAIL!

  • It kind of makes me sick that most of these stupid pundits haven't bothered to either read Cains plan analysis on his website OR listen to what he's said in previous debates that fully explain 1. People living at or below the poverty level are EXEMPT from all 3!. 2. "Zones" targeted for growth can be implemented that will reduce or eliminate the tax entirely and spur growth in debilitated areas.

People either aren't listening or theyre deliberately ignoring the plan details.

  • to all news reporters out there this is a new era of young Americans that don't believe your lies we will always find the truth online!!!! I don't watch the new anymore its just carp made to to entertain us so they bend the truth.. Ron Paul 2012

  • @zoneracer I agree. Look at the way these assholes refuse to talk about Ron paul despite all the support he has. Also, look at the very subtle way they're sabotaging Romney and ignoring all of Perrys incredible blunders and rudeness. The fact is,Rick Perry is the establishments choice---and that ought to tell you something about how corrupt the establishment is.

  • @zoneracer amen! i know a major red flag for me was when they started grouping media with entertainment haha. but seriously it is so blatantly obvious in advertising and media and tv shows. trash tv is easy to root out.

  • ron paul was the man..flat out ...fuck kkkcain,romney,bachman..and all them other coo coo devils.....paul is the one who could beat obama

  • There's a lot of tension and animosity between Occupy Wall Street and the Tea Party, which I find baseless. For the most part, the attacks seem to be initiated by the Tea Party. There's a very nice discussion of the relationship between the Tea Party and Occupy Wall street at 10:42.
