  • could have had one in '73 for less than $2000....new family guy bought a bone stock one w/360 2bbl. carb and open rear end..engine seized and dealer only had a "401" available...yeah go ahead and put crane cam headers and highrise...yep...army green w/stripes removed and dog dishes....perfect sleeper but when he gave me a ride, like I had a lost time episode and I don't remember other then terrifying acceleration...

  • Nice, I had a new, small V8, green hatchback, white interior. Didn't sound like that!

  • Gorgeous car and oh so rare. There are probably a dozen of those left!

  • simplemente hermoso...

  • Nice restoration ! I used to own a '71 hornet with the 258 ( straight six ) and that car was fast...I can't even imagine one with a 360 ! must be sick.. Enjoy it ....You have a very obscure piece of muscle car history there...Love it.

  • @talltileguy No it wasn't lol

  • for sale?

  • nice restore my dad has complete restore but black with white not many around nice to see another one in as good condition i believe there are only 80 left of the 71 amc 360 sc with ram air they are one of the rarest of amc

  • very nice car... but i was more interested in the hottie with the white shorts LOL

  • Same simple shifter as found in the AMX. Always liked the SC Hornet, and even back in the day, I only saw a couple.

  • i have a amc concord and im going to drop a 350 with headers and dual glass packs/ six pack

  • Awesome car! I've been waiting for a long time to see what a silver one looks like. I'm currently restoring the same car, but mine is one of the three speed 2bbl SC/360's. Mine will also be the factory Quicksilver Metallic, but with a red interior and no ram air. Really like the black interior as compared to the red. Looks good, have fun with it!

  • Nice Hornet! I've only ever seen one SC/360 up close. Great job with the car! Are those Lynn county tags? I'm in Council Bluffs.

  • Excellent car! Rare indeed. Have two 1974 AMX's in the family since new. Both 360 Go Package cars, one auto one 4-speed. Like your personal plate! I bet 99% of the sheep motoring public don't even realize its a personalized plate!!

  • that's in damn fine condition. keep up the good work!

  • i do agree looks and sounds good.

  • Great note from the exhaust mate. Well done with the resto- it looks fantastic.

  • I had a Matador red SC in about 76 or so, and left it in Utah broke down with a busted timing chain....got stolen before I could get back to get it from California, and been trying to find one to buy ever since...I love em....

  • sweet car, Ive never seen one in silver.

  • Very good looking and sounding car! Great job on the restoration -- doesn't look like you changed a thing!
