The Sims 3 has the same issue the Sims 2 had when it came out... most computers can't handle it. Nowadays, pretty much any computer being made can run the Sims 2 well. The Sims series is actually a good boost for the computer sales as well... Everyone goes out and buys better computers. :P

I have the sims 3 and it lags alot when I play it. For most of you that want to get the game make sure you have the requirements to run the game because if you don't the game performance will be dissappointing.

The sims 3 game is awesome ..you can go around the town, new jobs.. the only thing I want them to change in the next sims is I wish you can see your sims inside the city hall, theather, work ,groceries etc..

I think the Sims 3 is a great game (haven't tried it) but really they should just stick to one and churn out as much expansions as they wish lol.

meh. i got this game the day it came out and it was pretty shit. i uninstalled it from my computer 6 days later. Tbh, this was a let down for me.. Yeah, the feature to go around the whole city/town whatever is a good feature, but that's about it. No new animations or anything, and I was looking forward to them. The upgrade from sims to sims 2 was far more better than the upgrade from the sims 2 to the sims 3. I can't see how people can rate this 9/10.. =/

asheesmiff you noob it wasn't a big let down i bought the game when it came out and haven't stopped playing it since.... iv been playing over 100+ hours since its on my xfire profile there is new traits,places,new tools and new clothes and free roam around the whole city and cool new jobs and buildings... and things to do ... you haven't been playing it much then if you are saying that all there is new is around the whole town/city whatever well theirs not! so play it more and learn it!

When I play Sims 3. The game crashes my whole computer after about/less than a half hour of playing a character. Any other mode works just not actual gameplay. So I am wondering, is there a patch that fixed that issue? Because my computer exceeds all the requirements for the game. Also, why doesn't Maxis consider that the game crashes? Even on the lowest possible graphics settings (Which my computer doesn't even need to use) it crashes.

Yes, alot of the death types from Sims 2 return. The satelite death isn't included, neither is the cow plant etc.

Played it for a week or so and got bored really quickly. There is alot of stuff to do but doesnt have the charm like it did in the sims 1. I may have just grown up too much and lost interest in them type of games.

actually, a better computer isnt necessarily necessary. a better video card could be all you need. keep in mind though, if ur computer is the problem, it wont be compatible with a video card suitable for this game

I think a lot of people play it just for the building aspect. Like, when I got the Sims 2, I spent ages building my house and creating my characters, and hardly any time actually playing the game. But different people play it for different reasons I guess.

lol because in real life hardest part of work is getting to the carpool on time? and you can improve your skills by clicking on a piece of equipment, and houses just build themselves and you can change anything with the click of a button. It works with my $600 / £300 Toshiba laptop without any modifications.

It's a great game but the bugs and glitches are horrible. Hours of gamplay wasted when your game suddenly curropts the save file. Other than that it's one of the best PC games out there, for sure.
