  • The mans a true great great stands the the test of time allways wish I was abit older so I cud of seen him back in the day, mellows me out" Mrgaryo64

  • . I wanted to add that I always found him a little strange looking, but saw him recently on Jool's show, now 70 yrs old, he cut a fine attractive , silver headed figure.

  • I remember being in bed around 17yrs old, sleepy when my boy friend put this on towards the death throes of our relationship. I listened in a kind of floaty way, it's sound ethereal and like nothing I had heard before. I never forgot it and it haunted me, but now I have heard it again I am happy. The nostalgia is sweet/painful. I have dragged myself around many of Roy's concerts. His music is beautiful and he is a modern day poet.

  • Roys music carried me thru a long term illness , made me weep, laugth, fight ,inspired by roys llyrics, thankyou roy,, maybe oneday i will get to see you live,at last, blees you roy,...tim le venoir,.x

  • Two beautiful songs Tom Tiddler's Ground is originally from a children's game where if you get tagged by member of of opposing team (touched) you have to go to Tom Tiddler's Ground until you are tagged by a member of your team without them being tagged. From your old friend Hans. Good one Roy.

  • I HAD AN EMAIL OF ROY MONTH AGO...HE WAS SO HAPPY I CHOSE SOPHISTICATED BEGGAR + THIS SONG @ MY DADS FUNERAL..BEAUTIFUL LETTER THROUGH THE DOOR 2...BEAUTIFUL SONGS....LONG LIVE KING ROY

  • his two best songs in my opinion

  • Brilliant songs. What a master.

  • Since first seeing Roy at Stonehenge back in the 80's he's consistently made me appreciate the simple beauty of a guy singing and playing a guitar well.

  • cheers dude I will get back to after a listen

  • beautiful..totally superb!

  • I always loved this album since hearing it as a kid in 1971 when my brother borrowed it. Soon HAD to have a copy which i soon did ! Now ive bought a mint condition first press with no EMI box on the Harvest label as its still one of my favourite L.P.s ; almost completely overlooked for SUCH a brilliant album ; WHY ??

  • Brilliant. Ben looking for Tom Tiddler for ages as it is always played over the PA pre-gigs at the Glee club in Birmingham and I never knew which Cd it was off....

You have made an old hippy happy :-)

  • @cogg1 glad to be of service :))

  • Always brings a tear to the eye. Nice to see him playing /getting respect from ms Newsom.

  • an old Brisitish friend introduced me to Roy Harper many years ago. It is fantastic finding this here!

  • superb. flat barouque and beserk..one of the fineist albums ever

  • What a surprise to stumble on this! I've loved the Mortal Coil version for years without ever considering the fact that it was a cover. That moment when you realize "I know this" is one of life's little pleasures. And what a beautiful melody. I'll have to look further into this Roy Harper.

  • You will not be dissapointed. reldditmot's channel would be a good starting point @__

  • @kentishbloke mmm yes please and East of the Sun

had the albums since Day1 seen him a few times, love his music & attitude

  • @shemanic1 think it's on my channel somewhere lol

  • Roy is the greatest Another Day is a male song of lust really, you cannot better his version, full of poetry.

  • Beautiful. Go see Nick Harper -His son - if you get chance. Just as good.

  • I won't!

  • Roy makes me shiver like a spoonful of wasabi.

    Love 'em both.

  • pauls room, paul, martin, colin and me and this great man, roy harper, as well as john martin who died recently, you inspired us all.....

  • andyfoggy

There are none greater than John and Roy, you can keep the rest. None speak to the heart. Totally agree with the sentiments.

  • I have a brother and he's one year old

he wears a zappy little nappy

he squeezes the contents through the cot rails

what a very crappy little chappy

    bloody great... 8-)

  • All the Saturdays...must put it on :))

  • bought this album again recently, vinyl to replace the vinyl I had scratched and I love this one. Roy had a heart and the Floyd and Zep recognised the fact. Like Nic Drake and the young John Martyn the acoustic soundtrack to my youth. We will never have those times again, sad but true.

  • @Islwynpaul True bill brother, thinking the same meself when I stumbled accross this beauty. Happy Days tho

  • hurdy gurdy mangeaux, hats off, bending over, tired?

  • This takes me back to student days. Roy Harper's 'Flat Baroque & Beserk' on a weekly basis while we struggled with Applied Heat. Since then, lost touch with both Harper and A.H. So good to hear this music again; and so glad that Roy went on and on, always the cool character. 'Another Day' and 'Goodbye' have always been playing, at some level or another, in my mental background. Hats off to the man and his music....Best wishes...Chris.Wyton & Bill Melling

  • not quite made it too aged hippy status yet but 34 and 20 years lovin Roy and counting :D

  • Roy's most beautiful song. I bought this record when it was first released-I'm an old hippy and proud of it. Peace.

  • Same Old Rock coming up!

  • 'cellent! Once saw an unforgettable performance of SOR, Roy+Nick, probably the finest live rock experience I've ever been treated to. U-T is encouraging me to re-purchase all those CD's/vinyls I've lost or stored along the way.

  • Wonderful to hear Roy again - happy days - ho hum!

  • awesome stuff!

    classic hippy dreaming.

reminds me of days gone by when it wasnt so stressful.

    roy harper rocks.

  • I know I said it before but I love Roy's voice . Was a bit of a fine thing in his day too :-). Being saved to favourites !
