Ok, now it's killing me, what is your process behind this? I can only think of this going down two ways, either you with matchmoved face and textures (which kind of seems overcomplicated for something like this although I cannot back that up with a reason) or mocapped and tweaked. I'm sure I will get an answer "in character" like the rest of the people asking this, but its seriously killing me O.O

Are you using some sort of MOCAP? or are you filming yourself first and then emulating it on the character?

I haven't looked, but I'm curious. Since you do such a realistic render and the whole set and character look so natural, have any idiots asked why you're deformed, have only four fingers or those crazy body skin tones? hehe

I have nothing but optimism for AVATWO. I think Cameron will once again make an awesome sequel and more importantly give us more story, more charachter development, and more pandora. As for the Oscars, I enjoyed Up in the Air, D9, and Avatar way more than THL.

Wow! You guys at WETA did a great job with this. Also this is a brilliant example of how CG can be used to promote a movie in an original way on youtube. The performance capture on this is incredible, and the fabric simulation is spot on.

Although some of the shading and lighting at times doesn't seem to be in the environment of his room, it seems a little blue, I can help you with that if you would lke to hire me :-) Great job, I look forward to more videos.
