    though granted, it isn't much of a variation on Ab major

    well, placing the capo on the 4th fret, these chords are basically E major and A9... with some variations on the E major making it an "E9"

    in the "I've dropped out, burned up" part it's C#m B A B, keeping the high E and B strings open
