  • how do u get the sticker type things on

  • Its a good Hobby! I started again after 20 years :)

  • wow u got some nice models but can anyone tell me how to make my models with a shiny finish

  • "Just" ???

  • Your tiger tank looks awesome, how did u get treads on it?

    : )

  • I thought they were great, much better than mine lol

  • i built the hawker hurricain

  • personally i think the painting is really good.

ignore all the hate comments as most of my comments i get for my videos are always very pessimistic.

  • i think that is quite a good look on the kittyhawk

  • Some good builds there, Don't listen to the other comments, I'm 30 and still do a crap job lol, the thing is when I get time I enjoy building and my son enjoys playing with them........nuff said ;)

  • lol band of brothers music. GREAT SERIES!

  • that typhoon's better than mine, but like yours, the red spot decals have fallen off mine. The ME 109 f at 1:14 is probaly my favorite.

  • should I build with wheels out or tucked in ??

  • Dude you put your effort into these things...and you should show them, i mean im 17 and i model, and you built some really nice models, and you must be proud of these :))

  • Well made

  • @Oscuros does it matter and u r sad

  • 109F IS GOOD!

  • i think your models are fantastic, you put your best effort into these models :D, and the tanks are really good, and so are your Aircraft :))

  • I'm really sorry and I am not saying this spitefully, but the quality of painting and construction is woeful if this is a grown man, they look like the kits I did at age 12. Canopies, awful, and why in black? The Kittyhawke one looks awful.

The Me109 E Grunhertz squadron, that was a 1/48, and I really enjoyed making and painting that one, in splinter, but a winter camo with white instead of the lighter green, as they used in that squadron, it looked excellent, and I took a 6 pound kit and

  • made it look like something for display, before giving it to my son. The tanks on that scale I do washes on, as well as the planes to bring out the detail.

Yeah, making them is fun, but I get my money's worth in the painting and finishing, where you can get a cheap airfix kit with bad mouldings, full of flash and make it look like million quid after research and finishing. Saying all that I wish you all the best, but was a bit disappointed.

  • @Oscuros im not a grown man, i'm 15 and i painted these models when i was about 9. yeah, they are not very good, in fact ur right there crap! lol, me and my dad did these models along time ago together, but please keep your comments to yourself if you dont have anything good to say, cheers home dog!

  • @MovieMarine94 they looked great dont listen to him these are people who probaly can do no better themselves and just like too ruin other peoples days i thought they were great

  • @MovieMarine94 Considering your age when these were made I think they're not half bad and far better than ones I used to make as a youngster. I'd forgotten how much I used to enjoy making them until I started looking at videos like yours on You Tube. Unfortunately I just don't have the time to start building them again so I'll just have to keep on looking at other peoples'.

  • @MovieMarine94 hi, i love your models and i wanted to ask, do you have any tips for beginners like me :) ?

    Thanks

  • @MovieMarine94

    Do you still build models?

  • @Oscuros You, are a mean dude, you know that >:(

  • Your never too old to make models, age just makes you appreciate your youth.

That was when you had time not only to build these plastic wonders but, but to play ith them, in the garden if weather permited. The garden at the property I spent my childhood will contain the history of Airfix, the soldiers, the tanks and the planes.

I'm in my 40's and I've still got many Tanks and soldiers.Just check out eBay, Airfix is still big!

When I retire, i'm going to make some more.....if there's any left.

  • I bet anyone would do better painting job than you.

  • @puppett11 get a life mate

  • @MovieMarine94

    Ah. The life.

Atleast im not painting planes in cellar :)

  • @puppett11 yeah, but at least i go out with my friends instead of sitting inside watching videos of planes! :)

  • @MovieMarine94

If i go IN my friends.

    Or they come IN here.

I bet you don't want to get wiews?

"Instead of sitting inside watching plane videos"

    Shame on you.

Ah. Atleast im not painting schitty planes inside cellar :)

  • @puppett11 ok, what u just said then didn't make sense, it just makes you even more of a loser to actually keep coming back to this vid to take the time to comment. You must love this vid to keep commenting on it...and thanks for all the views your givin me! HAHA! go home little boy...

  • When you get older, the models will demand more detail from you, detail means time..you do not have, so build em while your still young! That is when they give you the most joy. Airfix or not, building models is a big passion of mine, but i am older now :-(

  • Loving the Band Of Brothers theme tune :) great video !

  • paint's a bit iffy :(

  • i love model aro planes but am crap at painting i make my own colour schemes

  • great stuff you got here

gotta love band of brothers theme song

  • Great models. One tip though, remember to pu the red dot decal in the middle of the raf rings!

  • I just finished my very first model on 10th of Dec and it was a Yak 9D

  • I'm away to start my very 1st model and it's the 5th of dec 2009

  • WOW those models are amazing + the painting is exalanrt =D

  • I am just gonna start doing these models again, I used to love airfix when I was a kid ... great vid mate

  • I'm in the middle of making the 51D Mustang and a wiilies jeep

  • very hard to paint the spiral on a ME-109 nose cone

  • Good painting skills, you should get a Yak-9D and a Japanese Zero

  • i love airfix, but recently they're quality has drastically decreased, and the sets have been made easier, so i've switched to italeri and revell, they make really good sets

  • aair fix, i am addictided to it, it is the best thing ever thanks!

  • I still think this is fun but how old should you be to do this? is 27 too old ?

  • well im 15 and ive been doing airfix ever since i was 6. I think airfix is for everyone no matter how old u are :)

  • @bouncingsoul100 .

    No.

I've been making models, - first one was a Grumman S2F- Hunter Killer, (Tracker), for 53 years.

    You never stop learning.

  • @bouncingsoul100 On James May's Toy Stories he pointed out that most customers in kit shops these days are middle-aged men. Also, another comment was "the minute you stop playing with toys is the moment you start getting ready to die".

  • what? do you know how hard it is to paint those things???????

  • Very Watchable, brings back memories of the airfix kits in Woolworth's in the 1950's, a shilling each, and a VERY small tube of glue included.

Thanks for uploading, all is not lost,

    YJ

  • i hade thes with men the d day seat

  • wut?

  • i hade the D DAY SET WITH MEN AND PLANES

  • lets see u do better then

  • Comment removed

  • Airfix doesnt include nazi decals with german kits do they?

  • what do u mean? a swastika? no i dont think so...

  • after watching band of brothers this song made me cry

  • Loving that German halftrack.

  • lol, im not being naive or anything but it doesnt it say yoga on the side of your kitty hawk, anyway im just starting doing models and stuff. I just finished a PantherTank :P

  • you know the tanks what model scale were they?

  • 1/72 scale. thanks for commenting!

  • The paint job on the bf109 is outstanding especially for a smaller scaled aircraft. I would recomend doing a 1;24 stuka, you will learn alot about the plane while building it and when you consider the g forces it would have pulled coming out of a dive, you will have alot of respect for the rear gunner when you see what he had to sit on. Also, out of all of mine, it's the plane that gets all the attention.

  • i have finished the stuka, and yeah it must of been pretty tuff for the real gunner

  • Great Models!! I'm 14 and I've made like 30 - 40 models but not as good as some of yours, especially your tanks! they'r awesome.

  • so far i have made 14 models and now im loveing it my girl freand dose not like it she says it makes the house look uncleen damn

  • lol!

  • Awesome Models!!!! keep it up!!

  • Really great I have just finished my first Airfix it is a supermarine spitfire same as yours not as good how do you keep the top of the cabin clean like that NEED TIPS

  • thanks for the nice comment. Well, i firstly paint the plastic when it is still in its set. Then when it comes to glueing the cabin, i try to use as little glue as possible, that way it does't smudge and go all over the cockpit

  • wow great models!!! their really good! and whats this "d-day kit" thing... is that wat this is from... and if it is how do u get em

  • thank you. none of these planes came with the d-day set but i do have that set. You do get a plane in the set and thousands of soldiers lol! if u want to get just check ur local model store :)

  • Nice! very good planes.

Hey, is'nt that the band of brothers intro song?

  • yep! thanks for the sub

  • anyone notice the kittyhawk says GAY?

  • lol! yeah it does!!! lol i didn't notice that

  • how do u paint so good could i get some tips plz :)
