Some good builds there, Don't listen to the other comments, I'm 30 and still do a crap job lol, the thing is when I get time I enjoy building and my son enjoys playing with them........nuff said ;)
Dude you put your effort into these things...and you should show them, i mean im 17 and i model, and you built some really nice models, and you must be proud of these :))
I'm really sorry and I am not saying this spitefully, but the quality of painting and construction is woeful if this is a grown man, they look like the kits I did at age 12. Canopies, awful, and why in black? The Kittyhawke one looks awful.
The Me109 E Grunhertz squadron, that was a 1/48, and I really enjoyed making and painting that one, in splinter, but a winter camo with white instead of the lighter green, as they used in that squadron, it looked excellent, and I took a 6 pound kit and
made it look like something for display, before giving it to my son. The tanks on that scale I do washes on, as well as the planes to bring out the detail.
Yeah, making them is fun, but I get my money's worth in the painting and finishing, where you can get a cheap airfix kit with bad mouldings, full of flash and make it look like million quid after research and finishing. Saying all that I wish you all the best, but was a bit disappointed.
@Oscuros im not a grown man, i'm 15 and i painted these models when i was about 9. yeah, they are not very good, in fact ur right there crap! lol, me and my dad did these models along time ago together, but please keep your comments to yourself if you dont have anything good to say, cheers home dog!
@MovieMarine94 they looked great dont listen to him these are people who probaly can do no better themselves and just like too ruin other peoples days i thought they were great
@MovieMarine94 Considering your age when these were made I think they're not half bad and far better than ones I used to make as a youngster. I'd forgotten how much I used to enjoy making them until I started looking at videos like yours on You Tube. Unfortunately I just don't have the time to start building them again so I'll just have to keep on looking at other peoples'.
Your never too old to make models, age just makes you appreciate your youth.
That was when you had time not only to build these plastic wonders but, but to play ith them, in the garden if weather permited. The garden at the property I spent my childhood will contain the history of Airfix, the soldiers, the tanks and the planes.
I'm in my 40's and I've still got many Tanks and soldiers.Just check out eBay, Airfix is still big!
When I retire, i'm going to make some more.....if there's any left.
@puppett11 ok, what u just said then didn't make sense, it just makes you even more of a loser to actually keep coming back to this vid to take the time to comment. You must love this vid to keep commenting on it...and thanks for all the views your givin me! HAHA! go home little boy...
When you get older, the models will demand more detail from you, detail means time..you do not have, so build em while your still young! That is when they give you the most joy. Airfix or not, building models is a big passion of mine, but i am older now :-(
i love airfix, but recently they're quality has drastically decreased, and the sets have been made easier, so i've switched to italeri and revell, they make really good sets
@bouncingsoul100 On James May's Toy Stories he pointed out that most customers in kit shops these days are middle-aged men. Also, another comment was "the minute you stop playing with toys is the moment you start getting ready to die".
Yes, i watched a war film earlier and noticed german planes with the swastika on the tail. I guess they dont include them for political reasons or something like that.
lol, im not being naive or anything but it doesnt it say yoga on the side of your kitty hawk, anyway im just starting doing models and stuff. I just finished a PantherTank :P
The paint job on the bf109 is outstanding especially for a smaller scaled aircraft. I would recomend doing a 1;24 stuka, you will learn alot about the plane while building it and when you consider the g forces it would have pulled coming out of a dive, you will have alot of respect for the rear gunner when you see what he had to sit on. Also, out of all of mine, it's the plane that gets all the attention.
Really great I have just finished my first Airfix it is a supermarine spitfire same as yours not as good how do you keep the top of the cabin clean like that NEED TIPS
thanks for the nice comment. Well, i firstly paint the plastic when it is still in its set. Then when it comes to glueing the cabin, i try to use as little glue as possible, that way it does't smudge and go all over the cockpit
thank you. none of these planes came with the d-day set but i do have that set. You do get a plane in the set and thousands of soldiers lol! if u want to get just check ur local model store :)
I bought the d-day kit so cool you done a great job at making
and painting them i have so many models and soldiers only if i could show u! any way where can i download the song? i love it. its outta band of brothers one of my favs bye!
thank you for the nice comment! u should make a video on ur models, that would be awesome! i got that d-day set as well and i have about 1000 soldiers lol! I got the sond from limewire
great looking models. i use to put planes and ships together. had a friend put ships together and paint them after he had 7-8 of them done he would take them to the creek close to where we lived sail them down the creek and try to sink them with his B.B.gun.
