These people know nothing about tarantulas. They only bite humans if seriously provoked, and even then their bite is no worse than a bee sting. In a situation like this they are quite harmless and even the gloves are unnecessary. My sister used to have one as a pet (until she dropped it and it died).
idiots, i own several tarantulas and hold them all the time, this is nothing.
