Is truth relative? I don't think so. Truth is an absolute otherwise there is no foundation at all for what is. If everyone is special no one is, likewise if truth is relative it doesn't exist. To even say that truth is relative is an absolute truth statement. The Dalai Lama is wrong.

they should make it COMPULSORY for ALL kids to learn about ALL RELIGIONS including the violent murderous aspects of so called "peaceful" religions Islam as well as Christianity which are now being hidden from view deliberately from the public. When they grow up they will understand & know the full truth about religious teachings. whatever religion that can stand the scrutiny will survive & richly deserve it.

The nature of truth is singular and absolute. The different medicine for different illness analogy is not taking the problem seriously. Is there one God, no God, or many gods? Is there a hell? Is there a heaven? You cannot use this mutiple approaches to a common problem becaue we are not dealing with a problem or illness we are dealing with what is actually the case, what is the truth. My dog is warm blooded, that does not solve any problems, it is just the truth.

Amazing SOUL, I have a son, who is an atheist, and I see the truth in this thinking that His Holiness expresses. I am praying (in my way) that my son will see the beauty of SOME religious belief... because a spiritual base gives a deeper meaning and richness to the tapestry of life. Great Blessings...

dear dalai lama, you forgot to mention the fact that many lamas subsist on only one type of food for their breakfast, lunch and dinner.. apparently, the body takes less energy to break down the same dish into energy than if there are different varieties of foods..
