i luv axolotls they are so amazing to watch. i uses to hav one and he was doing fine and eating the water was clean all the time and the water alkaline and all tht stuff. Then one day he stopped eating anf formed a air bubble in his stomach. He ended up passing away. Do u know wht this might of been and how i can prevent it from happening to another one? PLEASE HELP

why did you put newts in there? you do know the axolots are going to eat them?

Japp, they do. But i`m faster ;-) I put all the eggs an another tank and feed them with athemia. When they are 7cm + i sell them to a pet store.

i have two axolotols and i love them,i cant wait to finish their tank.Their about 6 months old.getting big though.one of the coolest exotic pets i've had.my aunt breeds them as well.i love watching them eat and play.they are so cute!great job on your tank by the way

It's not healthy to keep other species of salamander with axolotl, you are taking many risks, also with the gravel on the bottom of your tanks

I have just replaced gravel on pebbles.. Yours look fine on Gravel?? Are you not worried that they can swalow it and die?

i bought the two boys (yellow and white) from a store. half a year later i was asked, if i can take care for a female axolotl. her former owner "just bought a pet for his kids"... she was very sick when i became her.

NOW she`s fine!

i have a couple of axoltol babys from ingrid and humphrey! maybe i can upload some new vids in a few days... (neeeeed time!)

I don`t know, but i think all Lotls could be blue / purple. Actually i got 3 Blue Babys ~5 cm and 7 Babys ~2 cm. And there are again eggs in my Fishtank (Won`t catch them out this time...). Now i have to find a place / places where they will live. There are more than 60 Axolotls in my tanks... that`s too much ^^
