My friend in high school used to play this all the time... its been a long time. I miss hearing this coming from the chapel, being able to go in and sit and just listen. It was beautiful. I can't help being hit by nostalgia whenever I hear this.
To the animation: Impeccable! This is my favorite visual style yet. My favorite part visually is most certainly the changing thickness of the line to demonstrate the dynamics of the violin.
I think this could (and should) be absolutely inspirational to anyone coming to Bach's violin partitas and 'cello suites for the first time. It vividly demonstrates what an absolute genius Bach was (still is, in my view), and provides a stunning visual representation of how beautiful music can look, as well as sound.
i think that the dots should be slightly bigger, and the line slightly thicker overall.Imo the white background is still kinda overwhelming. Love this animation though.
It's funny how you're now uploading animations of Bach's unaccompanied pieces for violin and violoncello for experimenting with your visualizations, when it says in your MAM "To Do(n't) List" that they're unsuitable.
@ImAwesomeHaHaHa Heh-heh, that's pretty funny. When I wrote that, I was still only doing the bar-graph animations, and I thought pieces like this would be uninteresting with that style of display. Now that I'm developing new styles of animation, that comment is no longer relevant.
Superbe.
Topic: Visualization of music is generally fascinating. This version is for me, designer jewelry, especially inspiring:) Thank you very much and best regards. iwakoz
@SumWunGye Right; the freeware MAM included most of what I'd done prior to 2006; I just wrote the software to do this. If I ever make another version of the publicly-available software, this will probably be in it.
that...is..such..a cool way of following notes xD

One of your best animations, could you use it in more videos, not just including solos?
TheMonk909 1 month ago
@TheMonk909 I've used it in two non-solo videos on my main channel (smalin).

Took me until 1:20 into the video to realize the line's thickness represented dynamics. Fantastic.

you should do cello suite #1 in this style! I do love the "caterpillar" one, but this one is my favorite.

Fanciful! Whimsical!
I like the diamonds better because they give the dynamics _in advance_.

This is really awesome. What does it mean when the lines get darker?

I really like this one. One question though, why are some notes are crossed over and some are taken in circle?

@BLooDCoMPleX The circled ones represent a change in direction
