A really good voice. Would like to hear some of his other stuff. I remember him as a kid from Bandstand, and the only memory I had from those days, was that he used to lick his lips when he'd sing! Great to revisit and discover he had a good voice. Somewhat reminiscent of Roy Orbison?
i remember as a young boy standing around the piano at his mothers house in matraville and watching warren rehearse his music i was fasinated as a young lad he was my idol and till this day nobody singsa better version of running bear or my personal favourite wimoweh if youv'e seen him sing it you will know what im talking about and let's not forget where my baby goe's,a star fell from heaven,i'll take you home kathleen.he's an aussie icon and also my uncle.
What a lucky childhood you had and such beautiful memories. Oh I know what you're talking about with Wimeweh...I saw him at South Juniors many years ago with his sons & daughter performing with him on stage & still think it was one of the greatest shows I had ever been to...fabulous voices & beautiful people!
@warrenwilliamsone I didnt know him. I'm french. autumn leaves is an old french song. I like the way warren sings it in english. I 'd like to hear him sing his big hit "it's party time"covered in french by petula clark. Many thanks Marianne Hélène
Oh i loved Warren Williams as a teenager in the early 60s.. He had some fantastic rockers, and some great slow ones such as this. He was a very versitile performer who never got the credit he deserved. Or the material - for a while he was treated a s teen idol who couldnt sing, and he released single after single on Leedon that showed this - but it's videos like these that prove everybody wrong. He had some great surf stompers in the mis 60s as well. What a guy.
I remember Warren so well...He sounds as good as Roy Orbison!..What a talent he was...I love you Warren! xo
