@drydiggitybones it isnt bad for the bridge unless you jerk it around like crazy, you are putting the same pressure in the same directions either way, but turning the bar the way he has it makes it easier on your hand, Randy Rhodes turned the bar the same way and so did dime..yah just cant throw a shitload of pressure on it.

Great video. But really the only trick to comming up with your own stuff that way is just to have the right effects and a wammy bar. But with even the most basic scales ive found that with the right gear anything can sound insane.

I have a cruddy fender squier amp that came with the guitar...it makes all sorts of awful noise...I have to keep my bare foot on top of it to make the high pitch frequency noise to stop. Think it has to do with using my foot as a conductor...but yeah...its awful...I don't even have delay.

i bought one and sold it the same week. that's just my experience though. it just seemed so lackluster and fake to me. look around for a used marshall, obviously the tube or at least tube hybrids have better tone than the solid state, but the solid state aren't bad. or get a randall as the guy above said. dime played solid state randall heads.

I know with my schecter I could never pull out pinch harmonics unless i flipped to toggle switch all the way down to the bridge pickup, now I can play them all the time. Idk if that helps but it worked for me. I have to do the same thing to pull out divebombs too

You can "theorically" do them with any tremolo system. But you can turn out on breaking it if you have some strato-like-tremolo (as some comments said).

You NEED a floating bridge to do this safely.
