Even the stuff I'm actually interested in becomes uninteresting once I have enough of it. And "enough" is quickly reached in most areas, so the things that will remain to be advertised to me would mostly be things that I don't need or things that I don't want. 90% of everything is crap, and 99%+ of all advertising is noise. Or will they just read my mind, according to their #3 prediction?
Advertisers want to show their products to everyone. Not just people already interested. A company needs to grow to survive so showing a Coke commercial to Coke lovers is arguably not as useful as showing it to a non Coke person. Even now with hulu commercials it pops up stuff that I'm definitely not interested in but says that I am. Insurance companies is a good example since the majority of people don't really think about insurance.
That's not what spam is about. Spammers just want to reach as many people as they can selling their counterfeit stuff. Even if only 0.001% of the receivers buy something, it's a profit for the spammers.
It looks good. I choose this one as the most likely. But you didn't include anything about Watson's analytical technology! I'm surprised, IBM. You would think that Watson's ability to revolutionize the healthcare industry (even in the short term: Implementation has already started!) would be featured in a 5 in 5 report.
