lol, if i would have meet eldar they wouldn't have gotten into close combat in the second turn. avoid close combat and victory will be clear, and a fire warrior squad can kill a guardian squad easily.

Get black reach, even if you don't wanna play either SM or Orks. The rule book and blast markers make up for the price (unless you're buying 2nd hand on ebay).

Also it may even change your mind. I got it for the aforementioned reason, with playing eldar or tau in mind, and I'm totally an Orks man now.

I only really agree with the notion of less stealth suits. In 5th you're going to need to take bare minimum troops and more suits. Also, broadsides should work together and take a Hammerhead.

@alexweislak92 if u want to play marines or orks, then black reach is a good start, if not then just buy a battleforce, codex, and rulebook

@alexweislak92 I am a new tau player but i got assault on black reach (price gave me heart attack) but it's worth it for getting a few battles under your belt and the rulebook, I researched the rules and waited until i bought like 43 fire warriors a stealth team and a crisis suit for like 43 dollars on ebay. and i had an opponent as my brother played SM now i await a new broadside team hope this helps

I was expecting Eldar to have a better backbone troop compared to Tau, but i guess they just dont have the numbers, but sufficient tech, Fire Warriors vs Guardians seems unfair to me, but the two most technologically advanced races in teh galaxy fighting is always epic, Hammerheads vs Fire prisms, Vypers vs Pirahnas, Battlesuits vs Aspect Warriors.

8 years as eldar player the tau guy did the right move you never rush a eldar player because they can hold more fire power in one unit than any other army that has an better Effective aftermath good example is assult 2 catapults you do not want to be with in 12" because if you are thats there shooting Range and Assulting range a turn. Mv 6" shoot assult 6"

thx I had some bad luck of the dice I had one wraithguard to kill and could not with 2 fireknives and my shas o. Also had shots at that last warpsider and missed, and the broadsides could not down a lone wave serpent if I could have got those I think a b was mine.
